I was very underwhelmed with the property. The view of the bay was amazing but after that not good. We paid extra for a room with a kitchen that was below the storage room so the first morning at roughly at 5 a.m. they started working in it and it sounded like a marching band practicing. Then the next two nights the people above us you could literally hear them going to the bathroom very clearly. The breakfast was joke, it appeared low end muffins and low end cinnamon swirls. Staff at breakfast came out grabbed her breakfast and left and didn’t clean anything. Nothing was restocked and things really felt like leftovers. Will visit the area again but not stay there. Really feel like they are trying to milk this property and then sell it.

Disappointed

The room did not look anything like the photos on Hotels.com site. No decor of any kind in the room, simple plain bed sheets, no decorative cover as shown. On the positive side the view was fantastic, but unfortunately there were no screens on the sliding glass doors, so we were unable to enjoy the sea breeze in the warm evening.

July stay

Staff: Check in was fast and friendly. Check out in the morning was "just leave the keys on the desk" said in passing. Room: Very nice rooms and up to date looking. HAVE to give 1 star for cleanliness since the bed sheets were clearly not a new set, there was a dried blood stain on the bed's flat sheet. AC works well although pointed directly at the bed so need to aim the vents to keep from getting the brunt of the cold air directly on you. Bathroom: Water gets hot quickly, bathroom fan is a bit loud but not an issue, just be aware (it is automatic w/light). Amenities: Free parking will be directly in front of your room. Really good free breakfast - toasts/bagels, waffle maker, cereal, juice machine (apple & oj), boiled eggs. Hotel directly overlooks Glen Cove. Great views in the morning.

Resort area leaves little incentive to stand apar.

We arrived earlier than check-in time, hoping to leave our bags. No one was at the desk. Several minutes later, someone appeared, only to disappear into the “employees only” office. After 10-15 minutes we left. We returned around 4:00 pm, and again waited (about 5 minutes) for someone to staff the desk and check us in. We were on the lower level, with a pleasant view out to the bay. When we got back to our room after dinner, at about 9:00 pm, noise from the room above was noticeable, and lasted quite a while. It resumed EARLY in the morning, and we concluded that we must be under the dining room, hearing staff readying breakfast—but we were not. We tried to make coffee. The power light on the Keurig came on, but it didn’t brew. Breakfast was meh. (Almost never is an included breakfast very good; this was sub-par: DIY waffles the only hot option, eggs and peanut butter the only proteins. No real butter, no cream or half and half for coffee. All on paper products.) Hygiene products in the room were decent. Room was clean. We wanted to bring the noise and non-working coffee maker to the attention of the staff, but, alas, the desk was again left unstaffed at checkout.

Honestly I liked the motel. I just had some issues

This property seems newly renovated and the room was very clean. My biggest complaint is they have a huge unmarked speed bump right at the entrance coming off the main road down into the parking area. If you aren’t aware and don’t come to a full stop on the main road before turning in, you will bottom out a car pretty hard even if you are going slow. They also show pictures of that lovely lawn in the back that leads to the water, but it’s just for looking at, as it is riddled with goose poop. The breakfast was pretty much all carbs, no proteins Waffles, bagels, muffins etc. They did have hard boiled eggs and some fruit.

Great find!
