So much better than a chain hotel

I arrived late in the evening after making a last minute reservation. The hotel owners were on vacation so aan named Aaron was minding the hotel. Aaron was delightfully friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is quite charming and beautifully decorated. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great History - Uncomfortable Stay

We love the history of The Garza Hotel, but we were not happy with our overall stay. We booked the Bordeaux Suite looking for a romantic getaway. The bed was uncomfortable and old, the shower had no water pressure and the room does not have control of it own temperature. We slept on top of the sheets with the fan going and still sweated through the night. We were simply disappointed in our stay.

We have stayed here twice and will be staying here everytime we visit our daughter. The owners are very nice. The hotwl might be 100 yrs old, but it is beautiful, the bathrooms are up to date, and the breakfast is awesome.

Great time at the Garza

Our stay was awesome! The owners spent untold riches to bring back to life the Hotel Garza, created in 1915, and they most definitely did. Everything in the hotel speaks of that time. Then after a restful sleep, we had a marvelous breakfast. After spending a few nights in those modern plastic rooms, we loved the Hotel Garza

Very nice, unique property but being from a rural area, having a train going by the hotel numerous times during the night with the whistle blowing was cause for a miserable night. Will most definitely examine locations more closely in the future.
