Overall it is really an excellent hotel. Many of the rooms should be updated, but still they are adequate and spacious. The breakfast area can be busy, but there is a large adjacent room with plenty of space. The hotel staff were great. The onsen has a spacious indoor bath and plenty of washing areas. The outdoor bath is very pleasant, just be careful walking on the stone surfaces. The staff takes good care of the onsen and sauna. The location is good. You can walk to Nagahama JR station and the old town area is just beyond. The lake and the large beautiful next door park and castle is good for walking. There are not many restaurants open at night in central Nagahama, but you can probably find something.

The 5 stars is based on the Expedia value and I arrived after dark. With current exchange I paid $46usd for a standard double room. The property has blemishes but it was a tremendous value (even before exchange). My experience was one night and I didn't soak in the public bath. But the residents appeared to enjoy it. I would definitely look at this property again if I'm in Nagahama.

夕食内容が、値段に相応しくない。大人9,200円、小学生7,000円。飲み放題付きとはいえ、ビュッフェスタイル(もちろんセルフ)でドリンクも、なんなら下膳もしないといけない、料理はいくつかはご当地物が出ていたがその他はファミレスかレベルのクオリティ。子どもは楽しめるし、子連れには賑やかで気が楽な面もある。がしかし、やはりコスパが気になるところだと感じた。大人と小学生の値段の差が2,000円程なのも気になるところ。お酒飲まない、量もさほど食べない小学生で7,000円は無茶苦茶高く感じる。ラウンジも、オープンすぐに雪崩のように人が押しかけドリンクは長蛇の列。スナックは空っぽ、ソフトドリンクのシロップも切れていていつまで待っても補充されず… 同系列の他施設に比べスナックの種類も少なかった。 オールインクルーシブは素敵ですが、これでは値打ちが感じられない。 わが家的にはラウンジには期待せず、夕食なしプランが妥当だね、という結論に達しました。
