After reading all of the positive reviews we were surprised to find all these issues with the room: -what appeared be blood stains on the bed sheets -shower didn’t work properly (hot water and water pressure) - bathroom was grimy with missing tile and missing door molding -slight odor in the room It’s nice to save money but it’s worth it to pay a little extra and stay in one of the nice properties in town (Packwood House, Arbor House, Sherwood Inn)

Loud and no staff

I'm a solo traveler. At some point after I went to sleep a very loud gathering happened seemingly right outside my door. It was LOUD and when I tried to call the desk there was no answer. I felt incredibly unsafe as well as having my sleep interrupted to the point that I do not feel safe driving today

Easy to unload and load up the car. The highway was noisy but once you were in the room you couldn’t hear it. Didn’t like a the notes in the room about how to get rid of the garbage and how to get clean towels. Beds were not made,coffe maker wasn't cleaned and neither were our coffee mugs.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable The bathroom was very small. There was no complimentary breakfast. That was all ok except for the price. We had only paid 6 dollars more at a Best Western in Ithaca the night before. It was a larger room with a free breakfast

When I arrived, the office was closed, there was a note posted of what room I was in. Door to my room was unlocked and the key was inside!! Rooms are outdated and we had ants in the shower.

Beds were sunken in the middle, hard and uncomfortable. Front office was always locked as if it's a high crime area. Walls and front door were in bad shape and when I mopped up some water spilled on the bathroom floor the cloth came away black. Disgusting!

No heat, they gave us a small electric heater that was afraid to leave on when we left room. When you opened the door, there was a strong septic odor in room. We had to buy air fresheners just so we could sleep in the room. No way will I ever stay there again or recommend it. Two bath towels that were dirty so got our own from store.

This motel has fallen on hard times. It’s outdated, has not been upgraded in years. We were given a room in a run down annex building The mattress was old and needed to be replaced, the shower was patched with duck tape, and there was mildew, mold and a sewerage smell when the hot water was turned on. We paid a premium price for the last room in the Skaneateles area and it was not worth it.

Do NOT stay here

Got to the hotel after 4pm, had to knock on the door at least 3 times. Older gentleman came to the door and couldn’t find our reservation. He called his wife and they ended up putting us in a room behind the hotel. The room had obviously been just sprayed down with Febreeze (floors were still wet with Febreeze) as we found out why a half hour later. The water had a VERY heavy sulfur smell just like rotten eggs. We complained to the front desk and they placed us in a different room. The new room had dead bugs on the bathroom floor, tv wouldn’t work, window was cracked and the water still smelled like sulfur, just not as bad as the other room. Terrible experience

DISGUSTING!!

I was shocked by how poor these accommodations were, especially based on the rating. I booked a room and apartment for the weekend for Syracuse graduation. The room was dirty and unkempt. The rollaway beds were a cot, one had a small mattress with a DIRTY sheet and the other, a piece of foam. Reminded me of prison. The pillow for one of the cots was dirty, and I called to get blankets (there weren’t any for the rollaways) and a new pillow. The person at the desk came with a pillowcase- and told us to cover it!! WHAT?? I had to insist they take that dirty pillow away and give us a new one. To top it off, stink bugs were invading us, flying around the room and coming in through the window, which was moldy and covered with a screen, which they clearly were able to get through with. The guy came and cleaned some up, killed one, and gave me an electric zapper racket to kill more. Smh If everything wouldn’t have been booked up, I would’ve left. I asked to change rooms, but they were full. This was definitely a major disappointment for me and my kids. The second night, I got a big air mattress and used one of the cots with the better mattress, and let my kids sleep in the room with us so they wouldn’t be invaded by the stink bugs. STAY AWAY if you wish to stay in COMFORT with your family.
