We had an awesome stay. A warm greeting and help with our bags before we even hit the first step. Room was ready quickly and the bed was very comfortable. The room was not very spacious but very clean and worked well for the two of us. A very nice kitchen area and great outdoor seating area.

The property was charming and well laid out , the location was perfect for anything you want to do and the service and friendliness from Richard and the staff was impeccable. 76 Main is an excellent choice for visiting Nantucket. It's right on Main Street, just steps away from fabulous shopping, restaurants, and galleries. We have been staying there for years and Richard and his staff are professional and accommodating . They provide a nice breakfast with fresh baked pastries, fruit, quiche , etc. In the evening they provide mixers as well as home baked cookies. The decor is fresh and appropriate for the area and the hotel is immaculate. We highly recommend this hotel.

Nice but not worth the price

The hotel is gorgeous on the outside and comfortable and clean inside. The decorations all relate to the news business (hence the name) but that is somewhat artificial and do not reflect particularly on the town. Most of all: the room we had was extremely small (at 800$, it was as small but more expensive than Manhattan or Paris). The service was totally minimal and so was the breakfast. Overall we will not stay there again. Our friends stayed at 2 other hotels in town on the same days and their rooms were much larger, the breakfast much better than ours.
