I enjoyed my overnight stay at this Route 66 motel. Easy check in and quiet night was appreciated. It could use some updating, but there was definitely that feel of Route 66 present. My suggestions would be some landscaping as shown in Motel’s online photos and breakfast was a little sparse but serviceable.

Property very run down, bathroom appalling, old is an understatement, overflow in basin had been eaten away and mouldy. Television reception poor.

It’s dated but everything was nice and clean and worked as it should. Quiet neighborhood. You can park right outside your door. Very friendly. And has a great hot and cold breakfast with a variety of flavored coffee. Plus it’s on Rt 66 and the local artist that painted almost every mural in town lives there. He’s a friendly guy.

We have stayed here several times over the years. This motel is consistently the same-CLEAN, Comfortable,Quiet stays. Reasonably priced and best of all friendly helpful owners. This property is deserving of a 9+ rating!

Shamrock is on old Route 66. It is an older motel. We stayed because of the 9.2 rating but this is more like a 7.5 place. The reception clerk was very friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions. The room is dated but the beds were firm but okay. The AC works however the fan runs constantly even when the compressor turns off. The bathroom is small and the toilet is very low. For an elderly couple this was challenging! We didn’t use the shower but the tub area was very clean and had safety strips. The refrigerator and TV worked fine. Breakfast was ok. There were 3 types of cereal, biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs. There were also a waffle maker. The orange juice tastes like Tang, not real juice. The breakfast area is an actual converted room, so space is limited to about 8-10. The Shamrock was not very busy either night we stayed so it was quiet. There are a couple of newer and more up-to-date hotels in town but for the price and comfort we were happy with our decision to stay here. This is about halfway to our son’s home in Dallas so we will probably stay again on our next trip.

Poor service, took credit card and didn’t even go over charges before running it. Poor communication, seemed to be an issue on where to put us even though our reservation was 2 weeks prior.

We stayed for 1 night for Shamrock St. Patrick celebration. For a older Inn it was very clean and the gentleman was very kind.
