The hotel is charming and well appointed situated on a beautiful beach. The staff very helpful and the on site restaurant is very good. In addition there are a few more very good restaurants on the island. The 2 hour ferry ride was easy and pleasant. The breakfast included was very good.

Contadora as a whole is a gem! What a special place! The staff in Mar y Oro is amazing! and they prepare very good food!! Try the pancakes ;) Management should consider upping maintenance just a tad to make it perfect and adding the option of a few more amenities (i.e. rent some kayaks or snorkling gear) and a nonetheless 100% worth the visit - particularly if you are looking to rest and disconnect ocean front with a good book and a passion fruit drink (from Roy at the beach bar).

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Mar y Oro! Abel and the hotel manager and the restaurant staff go above and beyond to ensure a fabulous stay! We will dream about our time on the island until we can return again! Island shuts down early - this was a learning curve but be sure you have dinner by 7!

La propiedad excelente, la habitación contaba con televisión pero no tiene canales, solo funcionaba con internet y no llegaba el internet hasta la habitación, así que no pudimos verla. El trato del personal sobre todo del restaurante es un poco grosero.
