The property is pet-friendly with a $50 per stay fee, but it also requires a $200 deposit (much higher than the $50 most places charge). Parking is manageable, with street parking available. The room and the overall space were clean, which I appreciated.
That said, the price per night did not match the quality of the accommodations. Because of the pet policy, I had to book separately while the rest of my family stayed at a Best Western nearby for $100 less, with breakfast included for two nights.
I really like the concept of this place and want to support small, local businesses, but the details need more attention and a professional refresh. The floors are uneven, the shower head is set at eye level, and the beds are spring-loaded and loose — when two people lay down, we sank toward the middle. The on-site entertainment (a one-man band singing karaoke) also felt more distracting than enjoyable.
On a positive note, the bar staff was wonderful and very welcoming. However, the morning staff attempted to enter our room before checkout, and our key fob stopped working at 10 a.m. instead of the advertised 11 a.m., which was inconvenient.
This property could be a good fit for some travelers, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations for us.
