It’s an older building with a modern twist. It’s in a great central location in the heart of Viejo San Juan. It was a relief to have the luxury of walking around the town and being able to take a break from the heat at this hotel. The rooms were clean, the staff were very friendly and the air conditioning was paramount. I’d definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it.

This hotel is either absolutely fantastic or absolutely horrible. It just depends on your type of visit to San Juan. If you are looking for a place in the center of the action... Look no further. Great location within walking distance of everything in Old Town. With a rooftop bar. If you are looking for a quiet spot to sleep... KEEP LOOKING! This ain't it. Right in the center of the action with no sound barrier between the bed and the busy road below or the hoppin' roof top bar above. Room was very comfortable and the staff was great though.

The property is in central Old San Juan, so great location. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Thought we were getting a suite that faced inside courtyard. Ended up with one on the streetside. Was the noisiest hotel we ever stayed at. Make sure to get inside room at check-in. Noise doesn't stop until early morning and started with construction noise before dawn.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Decanter Hotel. It was very close to everything in Old San Juan, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They really went out of their way to help us feel right at home and made great recommendations for things for us to do and restaurants to eat at during the holidays. The hotel was a traditional feeling hotel. Our room was big and had a wonderful balcony overlooking the street. It was a great space! We definitely recommend the Decanter for a wonderful stay when staying in Old San Juan.

The hotel is beautiful! The room was spotless. The room was spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect in the middle of old San Juan. It allowed us to walk around easily to enjoy the whole city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had to add time and switch rooms as a result. The housekeeping staff coordinated with us to make sure we could just move from one room to the next without waiting. I would stay here again without question.
