The room was small, but sufficient for what I wanted. I had a great view of the Schloss from my room window (room 19). The lady at check-in was very nice. I arrived earlier than check-in, so she gave me some sights to see in Heidelberg while I waited for my room. The hotel is on top of a parking garage, so parking was easy, and it is very well located for going to the Schloss or other sites.

The location of this hotel is perfect. The parking garage fills up completely during the day with people visiting the castle so be prepared to wait for a spot if you arrive in the middle of the day. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helped with recommendations for things to do and restaurants in the area. Room was very clean and the terrace has a great view of the city and the castle. The breakfast was OK. Great to have a complimentary meal during our trip but I'm not sure why a lot of these reviews are raving about it.

Good location only a 20 minute walk to the Heidelberg Castle. This hotel is centrally located with an easy and short walk to the main town square. Good breakfast. This hotel sits on the 7th floor of the parking garage. Parking can be a little tight for larger cars.

Heidelberg fairytale family vacation

The receptionist at our check in was wonderful! She provided us with a map of Heidelberg and noted attractions for us. She is a great spokesperson for this town. My cappuccino at breakfast was the best I’ve had yet in Germany, and breakfast staff were amazing too. Our room is enormous and like a studio apartment, highly recommend.

Stayed with my mom here while visiting the Heidelberg Christmas Markets! Very close to the main markets, and the funicular up to the castle was basically attached to the hotel’s bldg. Perfect location for seeing the castle and walking through the Christmas markets!
