It’s not bad for a 1-night stay. Especially if you are in transit. But the reception area is very unwelcoming, cold, with vending machines lining one wall. The room itself was simply ‘okay’. Clean enough. Bed was comfortable. The shower was deadly slippery — so if you issues with mobility I would not recommend using the shower. Overall, for the price, I would have expected a more comfortable experience.

Just what was needed and a great location.

Didn’t realise I had booked a hostel but the private room was very good for the time I was staying in the Cologne. The staff were excellent and kind and extremely helpful especially with sorting a fan out in the middle of the night due to the heat. Location just a 5 minute walk from Central Station is also a positive.

Feeling mislead and scammed.

Horrible experience with this hotel. Would give them 0 stars if I could. Asked if we could switch hotels (exact same hotel different part of the city) to be closer to the train station we were arriving at very late at night. They advised consideration would be given once we booked the other hotel and provided the confirmation number. We did this and hoped for a switch. The day after check out we got a message saying they would not honour the switch and we were on the hook for the bookings at both hotels. I found this very misleading and scheming on their part to get more $ out of us. Would never stay at this hotel again! Very disappointed in their conduct!

Great Stopover

We visited as a quick stopover enroute by train from Sweden to the UK. The hotel was easy to find and a short walk from Cologne station. We arrived just after 11.30pm and were greeted and provided our room. The room was basic, but clean, warm and functional. Only downside was no lift as we had some heavy bags, but on balance a great experience.

If A&o galluswerte was hell i would say that this was supergood. If the receptionist at galluswerte was the worst , this receptionist was the best. Thank you for your professionalism

Spacious but extremly warm

The hotel had wonder ful staff and spacious rooms, but it was very noisy from the street and horribly warm with no ac on the room. We had to dampen our towels with ice cold water and cover ourselves just to get the body temperature down. Impossible to sleep in.

Nice receptio, friendly staff. The weather was very hot, no air conditioning so I had to have the windows open. This let in a lot of noise from the small park and playground opposite and the boy racers squealing their tires and revving their engines until the early hours. Hardly the hotel's fault though. This property, although it calls itself a hotel, it's more like a hostle. It's more of what it doesn't have then what it does have. There is no AC, no phone, no washcloths, no hand towels, no fan, no elevator, one hanger. It felt way too minimalistic and definitely not worth the $200 a night that we paid.

My 2 kids and I arrived and both the receptionists were very helpfull and provided information and tips. The underground parking option for €17 is cheap and was a life saver. The entrance door is very very narrow and the car just fit in so a large vehicle would be a problem. The hotel is situated next to the train station and you can sadly hear the trains clearly but it is to be expected and honestly for the price of the room it is a sacrifice to be made. The room was nice but cleanliness of bathroom and bed linnen let it down. But yet overall it was a nice stay compared to the price and I would go again.
