Overall our stay was good, but now that I'm home I realized that I booked/paid for a superior room and stayed in a standard room, which is very disappointing. The standard room was small but had just enough space for 2 large suitcases. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The hotel location was excellent -- close to train stations and a very short taxi drive away from Tokyo Station. What we liked the most about the hotel was breakfast -- good value with a lot of good options, like a different delicious smoothie every day, breads, pancakes, little desserts, yogurt, etc. (including options for those who enjoy a Japanese-style breakfast).

The breakfast far exceeded our expectations. We added the breakfast everyday for our 7-day trip to have just in case. It was so good the first day that we ate in rather than going to a restaurant every single day. They made fresh smoothies which is what we looked forward to the most. One of the days we had a late morning with the do not disturb sign on the door but the staff still left us a bag of fresh towels and slippers on our door. When we left, we put the sign on the door requesting turnover service (half expecting for this not to happen as they had already come by the room) but when we returned they had performed turnover service for us! Every staff member we came into contact with was incredibly kind and helpful. We want to stay here again next year but it looks like they are already sold out for the dates we want!

Japan even 3 star hotels are always clean and simple. This location was a bit more surban so notich around but always a handy 8-11 or family mart. At least a 0.3 mile.wak to subway which is ok. Only foo paw, aside from language barrier which wasn't the issue is the check in guy was a bit of a ding dong. He found it hard to grasp daughter was staying in her own room hence ONLY 1 passportt to scan for room NOT 2..😅🙄
