Odd place in Turku

If you are getting off an evening ferry and into a morning train in Turku, then maybe you’d consider this place. But otherwise, no. It is basic basic with zero frills (and a very disinterested welcome). Not worth it for the price.

The bed was comfortable, but our blanket did not cover the two of us. It was too small for the bed. There are no blackout curtains so it was not dark in our room. The towels were very thin.

Walls and windows are probably made of cardboard paper since you hear everything going on inside and outside of this hostel. Window blinds are of the cheapest variety and woefully inadequate for nordic summer where it starts to get bright at 4am. No recommended if you want a good night sleep.

Huone ei ollut kuten kuvassa. Ovet olivat ohuet kuin paperi eli käytävän äänet kuuluivat täysin huoneeseen. Kuvailisimme tätä ruotsin laiva - simulaattoriksi. Huone ihan ok siisti, mutta ei esim. roskista tai laseja.

Saapuessani minulle annettiin isompi huone, koska viivyin viikon, mutta seuraavana päivänä jouduin vaihtamaan huonetta. Minulla on kolme kissaa eikä muutto heidän kanssa ole kovin mukavaa. Emäntä lupasi että saan ensin antamansa huoneen takaisin, mutta häntä ei näkynyt eikä kuulunut, ennenkuin edellisenä päivänä kun minun piti lähteä sieltä. Myöskään avainta ei ollut saatavilla. Turkkilaiset remontoivat alapuolella. He aloittivat kovaäänisen remontin puoli yksitoista illalla. Kuuntelin sitä tunnin, sitten kävin kertomassa heille, että ihmiset haluaa nukkua yläpuolella(hostelli oli täynnä) Kissat oli aivan kauhuissaan. He jatkoivat remonttiaan koko viikonlopun. Ja koko viikon. Tosin olivat jo ilmeisesti saaneet tehtyä kovaäänisimmät hommat. Kaiken kaikkiaan kokemus oli ala-arvoinen. Lisäksi autopaikkaa ei ollut ja sain 60€ pikavoiton pysäköinnin valvojalta.

Karsea kokemus. En hinnan perusteella odottanutkaan mitään erikoista, mutta täydellinen riman alitus. Huonetta ei oltu siivottu kunnolla aikoihin ja joka paikassa karsea pölykerros. Vessa niin siivottomassa kunnossa, että jopa hävetti omistajien puolesta. Sijainti ok mutta muuten never again.

Vähän kanikoppia suurempi huone, jossa ei sen enempää hyllyjä kuin naulakoita vaatteille. Suihkusuutinta EI saanut ripustetuksi tankoon, se piti pitää kädessä. Suihkuverhosta ei tietoa, sen enempää kuin pyyhekoukkuja.

Koirahuone 15e, eikä edes vesikuppia koiralle. Saavuin myöhään niin omistaja/työntekijä tuli hakkaamaan ovea että nyt täytyy maksaa se lemmikkimaksu. Kaapissa lisäpeitto, mutta siinä ei pussilakanaa. En suosittele, jäi todella outo olo koko majoituksesta.

Hinta-/laatusuhde nippanappa ok. Ovi murron tai jonkun muun vuoksi lukon kohdalta raollaan. Sisäovessa onneton salpa joka pidättelee ehkä kovaa tuulta. Suihku-/wc tila ahdas. Wc.n kynnys korjattu ilmastointiteipillä. Pölyä pinnoilla silminnähden. Yksinkertainen nukkumakoppi.
