A nice little hotel in a great location in La Fortuna. We stayed 2 rainy nights and the hotel was easy to get to the major attractions in La Fortuna. Our room was clean and comfortable but it would have been nice if they had added some seating and tables inside for the rainy days. The breakfast was delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. They even packed us an early breakfast for the day we headed out early to see the Mistico Hanging Bridges. Overall a nice hotel for a short stay in La Fortuna.

The location of El Secreto was amazing. Very walkable to downtown La Fortuna so plenty of food options. Uber is very active here so it was easy to get around town and to various tours. Breakfast each morning was tasty and they allowed for some substitutions. Plus was that they had AC as well which helped with the hot, humid weather. We enjoyed the pools as well!

I would highly recommend staying here. The entire property and room are very clean! Well maintained flowers & trees that the birds love to hang out in so we get to enjoy watching them. Very good breakfast and the staff were all great!! Close enough to walk most places in La Fortuna. Definitely recommend Restaurante la Familigia for dinner (as recommended by the staff), excellent food and prices are unbelievable. We tried other places that were not great.

Great rooms, beautiful ground and view of the hotel. It’s centrally located and walkable to the restaurants shops and a super market for snacks and waters. Good real food breakfast. The front desk staff was so helpful and spoke great English to make up for my bad Spanish!
