8/10 Very good

Room was comfortable with what we needed. Staff very pleasant, courteous and helpful. Could be difficult to find staff when leaving in morning. Ended up just leaving our key in room and going. Residents exit out of inn was not very pleasant. Out a back door and outdoor area untidy. For some reason our towels were removed after our first night and we didnt realise till late on our 2nd night! So no towels for night 2 of our stay. Didnt fancy visiting the bar in our pj's. Breakfast is one price, just over £10, whether you choose cooked, or cereal. Could improve this. But mainly a comfortable stay.

Very pleasant stay

Very nice stay here. Nice part of the world & all staff were friendly!! Would definitely consider staying again if ever in the area. Breakfast was good but slightly slow service which wasn’t our servers fault as she was very busy & working alone. She was very friendly. Bar stayed open late which worked well with us catching up with friends. And the bar staff were great, didn’t feel like they were rushing us at the end of the night.

Overnight stay

Customer service was average. Did not feel welcomed. However meals for dinner and breakfast were good and large servings. States washing facilities but we were told they no longer exist. Close to see the seals which was great. Cute little town.

8/10 Very good

Our stay was lovely and restful. We were in room 11 which has a double aspect. It was quiet, the bed was very comfortable. Shower hot. Decorated nicely. The only downside was no TV as sky was down. The lovely Scottish breakfast was plentiful and hot. Staff very welcoming and helpful. And best thing deal beach is only a 6 month nute walk away. Would definitely stay here again.

Quiet weekend stopover

Quiet town/village feel. Easy to find and park. Restaurant has lots of choice and many locals eating there, which is a very good sign. Welcoming check in.

8/10 Very good

Stayed solo for a week for local business and discussions. Accomodation basic but clean and suitable for someone who's main need is a bed/breakfast but probably not for anyone looking for a relax and hotel-main stay - though not really advertised as such. Beds harder generally but comfortable. Heater in room needed as it got cold but bedding more geared to heat. Owners/Employees very friendly and acommodating - probably the most commendable part. Willing to even sit down with me and chat as a solo traveller which was a lovely gesture. Really good at highlighting local sites and things to see/do which, while I didn't need, was laudable. The food is basic pub-grub but suitable for when you just need a meal and bed - there's better places around to eat out for sure but it won't cause any dramas. Topped up amenities (tea/coffee/bottled water) each day. Rooms cleaned to a standard that offers no complaint. Clearly still in development - lots of loose pallets and damaged furniture outside but off season and new management so again, makes sense. Would recommend as a local bolt-hole for visiting local family or if spending majority out of the hotel. Some work to do to make it the same worth price wise as other Hotels in the area but clear potential.
