Upon entering Green Grass Villa, I was offered the local Huda beer (a quick way to my affections), and invited to join the owner with her family for dinner. This extremely welcoming attitude continued for the length of my two day stay.
The hotel is brand new (as of January 2015), so everything is clean, efficient and up to date. The hotel is located conventionality on the edge of town in front of a picturesque rice field (my mornings included watching water buffalo meander the fresh rice fields) and a nice stroll from all the dining, sight-seeing, and shopping of the old city.
The price and quality of room and amenities alone makes it a wonderful place, to stay in Hue but what truly makes it special is the ownership. Moon, her husband and their young son are extremely friendly without being intrusive. They invited me to meals, offered advice on sightseeing and shopping destinations, and helped me arrange transportation from the city.
As a resident of Vietnam who has stayed in many hotels (good and bad) I couldn't recommend this one higher.
