Great value for the money and superb food

This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed. It is comfortable with great location and staff is very helpful. It is also very private, nice and cozy and offers excellent opportunities for snorkeling at the house reef. Food was absolutely magnificent and the ladies working the kitchen were nice and helpful. Owners are nice people as well.

Beautiful property and welcoming accommodations. Owner and management very welcoming and helpful. Staff so friendly and kind. Rooms are clean and fresh/beds comfortable. Puerta Azul was exactly as we expected:quiet, cozy, beautiful and as friendly as can be. We felt very welcome and the other guests, small in number since there are few cottages, were quite congenial. A self selecting group looking for a quiet escape but with all the attention to feel pampered.

The property was beautiful, exactly as advertised. The owners along with the staff were very attentive and so friendly. It was so convenient to walk to the end of the dock and get in the water to snorkel. You could also take the paddle board or kayak out and enjoy the reef. I would recommend anyone looking for a quiet piece of paradise to stay at Puerta Azul.

We had a absolutely wonderful time here and all the staff were amazing. I truly felt as if we were family as they treated us like that. Everyone was very helpful throughout our stay. It was a great end of our 2 week trip. I highly recommend Puerta Azul and look forward to our return.

From the moment our reservations were made, the property was in constant contact withus about services, options, assistance, meals, etc. Once we arrived the room was comfortable, clean and all of the staff were greeting us with welcoming smiles. I recently stayed at this hotel and had a good experience. One of the highlights for me was the beautiful reef right in front of the property, which made snorkeling incredibly enjoyable—definitely a big advantage. The food was also impressive. The staff was absolutely wonderful—everyone was so friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would recommend this hotel to others, especially those who enjoy snorkeling and appreciate great service. P.S. Since you’re surrounded by jungle, don’t forget to pack insect repellent!

This property is stunning!! The staff make it so special. We loved our room, the proximity to the dock and water. The beachfront was always well groomed and immaculate. Access to paddle boards, kayaks, and snorkeling. We never lacked for anything. Danielle gave us the best tips on what to see and where to eat. The breakfast was always delicious. Happy Hour drinks, food when we wanted to eat there 10 out of 10. Thank you for everything!!
