OMG we LOVED staying at Stella's traditional inn. It was so quaintl you felt like you were a guest in an old greek village home, with all the modern amenities. Eg: the bathroom light was an old revamped oil lamp. Water pressure, excellant and even loofah;s available; cool and breezy under pine tree shade when Kato Sakros was boiling, and All windows and door were with screens to protect from mosquitoes. It was so peaceful and quiet you could hear your thoughts and sunrise over the ocean view from our porch was amazing. The staff was professional, flexible and exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The recommendations were spot on! Wifi was the best we had in all of Eastern Crete! Honestly, we should have stayed longer, and plan to return. We were lucky to have found it available. Bravo for the work you have put into the operation, and thank you!

Sehr gepflegte Anlage, wunderschöner Garten mit vielen verschiedenen Sitzgelegenheiten, Liegen und sogar einer Hängematte. Das Studio ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, blitzsauber und mit angenehmen Matrazen und Insektengittern ausgestattet. In der Küche gab es eine Art Grundausstattung an Kaffee, Tee, Salz, Gewürzen etc. Frühstück ist zwar selbst zuzubereiten, aber man wird täglich mit frischem Brot und Gebäck bzw. Kuchen, Eiern und Obst etc versorgt. Ca 10 Minuten zu Fuß vom Strand entfernt, sehr ruhig, guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen, vor allem durch das Tal der Toten. Sehr schöner Meerblick von der Dachterrasse, ebenfalls mit Sitzgruppe. Die Gastgeberin und ihr Mann sind sehr umsichtig und um das Wohlbefinden ihrer Gäste bemüht. Ein sehr empfehlenswertes Haus - vielen herzlichen Dank an Stella!

Pleasant accomodation located in lovely grounds.

Stella's traditional is about 10 minutes walk to the sea and local restaurants; it is also very convenient for walks in the Gorge of the Dead. The rooms are compact but functional with refrigerator etc. The grounds of the rooms are delightful, replete with lovely plants and decorative features. Each room has a veranda or you can eat in the grounds. Basic breakfast materials are provided and a larger kitchen area is provided for the use of guests. A swimming pool would be nice but the sea bathing is good

Wonderful calm stay

Beautiful stay. Stella welcomed us to the apartment, which was wonderfully decorated and clean. We had a great day and calm night and hiked the Zakros George in the morning. Stella was kind enough to drop us off at the start of the hike (she went on do errands) and we had the entire gorge to ourselves. Came back to see the palace. We enjoyed figs from the fruit tree and the breakfast was simple but delicious. Recommend. The road from Ioapetra was a beautiful drive to get out to a quiet East (end of Sept).

A Quiet Oasis in which to Chill.

A lovely setting in a splendid garden 15 minutes walk from beach and it's half dozen friendly small tavernas. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was fine and the premises were tastefully adorned by artworks etc all made by Stella's skill full husband. Good setting for visiting the Dead's Gorge, Minonan Zakros Palace and a nice beach. We were made most welcome to this delightful accommodation in a lovely spot of the world.

Peaceful and pleasant

We were pleasantly surprised by Stella apartments, together with Jannis retreat. The garden area is particularly attractive with many separate quiet areas for relaxation. Comfortable bed, good shower and clean rooms. The studios are self catering with basic provisions supplied for breakfast. Kato Zakros is a lovely quiet place with a good beach and enough tavernas for pleasant meals by the sea.
