The ocean was visible from the room as was the Spirit of Tasmania when it docked. The staff was very helpful and friendly and breakfast was delicious. The room was beautiful with Victorian period furniture and was exactly what I had hoped for. Looks like I've found a new home whenever I'm in Devonport.

Staying at The Grand on MacFie allows immersing yourself in exceptional comfort for a reasonable price. When return to Devonport, will stay in The Grand as it was the high point of our lodging during our trip to Tasmania. Breakfasts are a delight, a five-star dining experience. It is convenient to the ferry terminal and a short walk to shopping and restaurants. Cradle Mountain and Narawntapu National Park are easily visited on a day trip.

Really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts (Paul and Brendan) provided helpful travel advice, took time to accommodate our needs, printed our travel documents, made our dinner reservations, made & served a wonderful breakfast and are truly nice people.
