Pleasant stay

The location was perfect just outside the main hub , the receptionist she was fabulous very welcoming and helped us with maps and advice to see and navigate around the city . Our room was comfortable good sized double and plenty of bedroom furniture and a good shower. Breakfast was a good standard with decent coffee. Pleased with our 4 night stay.

Great place in the city center.Nice restaurants around.We were little late but when we arrived Germano was already waiting for us he explained everything to us and we got a lot of tips, So nice people and nice stay, we could leave our baggage little longer after check out really recommend

The property was located in a convenient area, within walking distance to the main markets, other sights, and the airport bus stop. The host was kindly enough to arrange check-in at a time convenient to us, and the communication was smooth. The room itself was large, but the mattress felt a bit old. We loved the balcony and the view it offered. The breakfast spread was good! We also appreciated the elevator, a rare amenity in older European buildings.

Palermo History

Palazzo Benso is a great 19th century historic building with the flavor of Palermo. Beautiful interior and fixtures. Comfortable bed, perfect for us. Breakfast is lovely with a nice variety of treats. The hosts, Germano and Maria Giovanna, are very gracious and helpful with our Italian language learning process. The location is in the heart of the city with nearby historic sites and great beauty. Interacting with people of Palermo was a wonderful experience.

Communication difficulties

We arrived at the B & B at about 5pm and there was no one to answer the door bell. We later found an email from the owner asking us to phone him with our ETA, but we could not receive this email without WIFI, which in turn required us to be in the property.. Fortuitously, a friend of the owner saw our predicament and let us into the B & B. We recommend that any email asking for an ETA be sent to guests 24 hours in advance. We found the breakfast very basic compared with other B & B's visited by us in Sicily

Little gem of a place

Friendly, relaxed stay for 3 nights. Staff were just lovely, couldn't be more helpful. Clean, large room with a view out over the street, but still quiet. It was a little bit out of the main town, about a 25 minute walk to the train station, but there is an airport bus stop just a 5 minute walk away, and all the sights are walkable - Palermo isn't a large city. Breakfast was usual Italian fare, plenty to start the day, and great strong coffee to wake you up! Great choice of restaurants and bars nearby too. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastiska värdar som pratade mycket bra engelska, läget är perfekt med gångavstånd till i stort sett allt som kan vara av intresse. Ovan samt att det hela bokades till ett väldigt överkomligt pris gör att jag om jag besöker Palermo igen så kommer jag med största sannorlikhet att bo här.
