The Travel Lodge was exceptional. The price was wonderful. I highly recommend this Loge to anyone staying in ar near Gillette, WY. I am getting ready to book another stay with them next week.

The receptionist, Deedee I think it was, was awesome. She got us checked in quickly and gave us some good places to see. The room was cool and quiet.

Pet friendly and still very clean for the price. I was a little concerned about parking. We had to park on the side street and the street lights were not working.

Rooms were cold, temp couldn't be adjusted, unit kept blowing cold air until I finally unplugged it the second night. Blankets on bed were super thin, even doubled over we were very cold. Winter in Wyoming, room should have been able to be heated and had warmer blankets.

Miserable night.

The hotel needs some repairs. The AC didn’t work… we called and they gave us instructions to restart it but it didn’t help and we had to give up bc it was late and had two kids that needed to sleep. But it was miserable. Also needs new carpet bc there were a lot of places we didn’t want to step. The bathroom door didn’t close bc the toilet blocked it. It was really not a comfortable stay esp for the price.

Decent, not the best. Great A/C, bathroom lacking.

Staff was friendly and rooms were clean. It was nice to have a microwave in the room, as well as a ceiling fan & A/C unit. This added to the comfort of the stay. My primary concerns were that the sink was not draining completely. Also, the showerhead was about 5 1/2' tall, so thank goodness it was a handheld showerhead. If not, this would have been pretty uncomfortable for me as I am over 6' tall. Also, the construction of the shower (i.e. floor base/lip) and the shower curtain did not do much to give plenty of water from escaping while showering. Thankfully the shower pressure was great. Finally, there were no hooks to hang wet towels and no place in the shower to place soap... Glad there was a shower seat outside of the shower to serve as a "shower caddy". Overall, just fine for a couple of nights, especially as the price was very reasonable. However, we will try another hotel when visiting Gillette next time.

Outdated but clean and comfortable

The building is old and definitely smells like it. The furniture in the rooms is somewhat stained and outdated. The shower floor was stained. The carpet could use to be replaced. BUT... The staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean. Our room was quiet and clean, and we slept well. The hotel is old enough that the room doors are those old heavy fire doors and very solid-a huge plus!! Breakfast would be a nice added touch. I would absolutely stay here again!

Comfortable and clean reception not so good.

Most of the stay was good. Room was clean and comfortable. The part that was not so great was the check in. The gentleman be hind the desk was not friendly at all. He didn't even stand up to great us. He seemed upset that the card I reserved the room under had previously been cancelled due to a fraued issue that I had.

This is a standard motel, nothing remarkable. Built like box, long hallways, all one level, no decorations, very sterile and institutional. Ok for a one night stop on a road trip.
