Really close (2 minutes walk) to the old town bazaar, which is probably the best I have ever visited 👍 From the hotel to the bazaar and then to the stone bridge connecting the main square with the great Alexandra statue, all the pedestrian walking only, great design that’s rare globally! The staff was great too, that they arranged a car for a middle night airport pick up (with a fee)! I liked so much that I arranged a car take me to Sofia for a short few days visit and picked me up and returned to the same hotel again! Thanks manager Maja, the front desk, and the staff in the 7th floor dining area and bar 👍

We had a clean, spacious, and bright room. The breakfast was delicious. The entrance may be a bit confusing at first, as you drive through an archway, but it is easy to go thorough. The location is good, just steps from the Old Bazaar and within walking distance of Skopje’s main monuments. The hotel is a great choice for both comfort and convenience.

Good hotel next to old town. One of our rooms didn't had working lights at bathroom but it was changed quickly for nearby room. Rooms are specious and comfortable. The view from the roof is superb. Breakfast was pretty good. There is free parking in front of the hotel. If it's full then you can just leave your car keys at reception and they would move it if needed.

Macedonian vacation

I was impressed with my stay at Hotel Arka. Its biggest asset is the absolutely perfect location, right on the main square and apart of the Old Bazaar. Within easy walking distance of all the major sights and restaurants. The hotel itself is euro modern and impeccably clean. My room was comfortable and well decorated, and I especially enjoyed the excellent and varied breakfast offered each morning. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, providing great local tips. Parking can be a little hard as the carpark is shared with a few other locations. There is apparently a employee (not from the hotel) that helps locate parking spots. For a central, comfortable, and well run stay in the heart of Skopje, I couldn't recommend Hotel Arka more highly.

The hotel was a but runned down. Heavy wear on many furnitures. I stayed on the 6th floor and The view was amazing. I booked this hotel mainly due to the pool, but it was closed (to early for the season). Breakfast was very good. The parking was full but they moved cars in order to fit me. Very kind.

Apart from the hotel being in a good location it was a disappointing stay. Upon arriving at our hotel driving through the entry gate did not give off a 5 star impression. Reception staff were poor with the exception of 1 member of staff who helped us with our tv. We had asked 3 times prior without any assistance. Pool was out of order, one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. The curtains in the room let in so much light, we were awake just after 4am, as people who work in agriculture we were looking forward to a sleep in on holiday as every other day of the week we are up early. Breakfast was good

Nice location, nice hotel, horrible staff Avoid it

Hotel is well located but i never see so rude staff in all balkans. The staff never say hello at reception, try to invent silly excuse, try to scam with taxis….i would be really interested to talk with general manager about my stay there. After this stay we stayed in Double Tree by hilton in Skopje and experience was totally different. Its really pity because this hotel could be nice and so on but just need change this lazy staff

And the hotel looks very clean and comfortable! But in the rooms, there is a terrible smell coming from the bathroom! Very stinky, like at a sewage treatment plant !!! the Wi-Fi on the room is very bad! There is a connection, but it’s not stable! Breakfast is small, basic, but good! The view at the rooftop is amazing and also the area where the hotel is located! The only disadvantage is, that many mosques are around! He will hear their singing voices very loud and very often!

Eccentric with both plusses and minuses -a one off

One has to judge things through the lense of Macedonia where in general hotels can be a bit eccentric. but this one is more eccentric than most. Positives are superb location right next to the old town, and huge rooms with great views and the awesome roof bar/terrace. Downsides are fading 80s style and no way this can be described as a 5 star service. Having said that most of the staff were friendly (mention to the good staff at the bar). Nice breakfast. Probably the worst thing was over soft mattresses (not good by today's standards) and the greenhouse effect of so much glass when the aircon was centrally turned off. So rooms were pretty warm. Open the windows and its noisy. Plus we were told no kettle or iron for "security reasons". Really this isnt 5 star service. But hey, overall go for the experience!

Heel goed. Soms konden ze op een vraag niet direct antwoorden. Dan zouden ze het opzoeken en in de kortste tijd hadden we een antwoord. Bv de guided walking tour in Skopje. Top De excursie naar Prestina in Kosovo.Top Het ontbijt was ook heel lekker en we hebben genoten van de lekkere wijn op de Rooftop. Zalig ! Dankjewel
