Great location, very dated and tired looking hotel

Rooms are motel 6 level, very dated, sad looking, bad wifi, no room cards, need keys, but staff is friendly and helpful and location is perfect. A little money toward upgrades would go a long way here. We would not stay here again.

Not a good experience at all. Hot water system broke Saturday evening and they had to wait about 4-5 hours to get someone to reset it. Couldn’t shower before dinner or after dinner until 10:30pm. Staff was not friendly. They offered a free burrito for the inconvenience. The place is run down.

Nice ocean front hotel stay

We couldn’t have a room that we reserved at booking time. I don’t know why but they gave us a similar room. Hotel location is very good.

We love this boutique hotel it is a little sparse on the big hotel amenities but it is very enjoyable to stay at. It has four stories but it has no elevator so be prepared to walk up and down the stairs. The views on each level are incredible of the pier and the ocean.

No elevator. Steep stairs. In the middle of everything. Great spot. Garage parking for a fee one block away. Directly across the street from pier, beach. Mattresses ok. Rooms/building clean. No hot water on morning of check out. Otherwise good.

What an amazing stay! The room was amazing! We were in a lovely location so close to everything and quick access to free trolly or affordable rail to LA or San Dieago. Walk across the stree to the beautiful beach. This is a place i will stay again. If you prefer a pol over the ocean, there's a hot tub in the bathroom that was incrediblly clean.

Nice stay in San Clemente. Room was everything we needed! TV with Roku, bathroom, bathroom, shower, bed, mini fridge were all solid. Microwave would have been nice but no biggie. Wish we could have waived or reduced the early check in fee as we arrived a few hours before the 3 PM check in. Overall great and special stay. Location right on the pier was awesome. Also close to the Del Mar shops area. Awesome town, nice stay.

We loved it here! The location is A . The staff are all very kind. The room and views are beautiful. There was no kitchen in the room we stayed in so you’ve got to be prepared to eat out while you stay. That wasn’t a problem for us at all though. The bedding and linens were very comfortable. Parking is available in the garage for $15/day. We loved it, we felt like it was “home away from home” for a few days. A wonderful vibe — we are coming back in October for my husband’s birthday!

You pay for an ocean view room. But the balcony in front of your room anyone can access. We had people sitting in front of our ocean view the whole time and you have to keep your windows closed for privacy. Not worth the extra money for an ocean view.

Loved being on the top floor with the wonderful view and huge patio. The place was super clean and nice. The reason I gave 4 out of 5 for property condition is that the patio didn't drain the rain easily on the patio for the top floor. The rest of the building and stairs were maintained in nicely. The garage to park your car is about 30 yards away. This a boutique hotel is older so you have a few stairs to get to some rooms.

No office or emergency help late at night

They say there is a night time emergency number but when I called it (could not get the gate open late at night), there was no answer. They never got back to me. I told the college kid at the front desk the next day and I got a half-hearted apology. Will never stay here again.
