We were halfway through our two week trip when we stayed. We were exhausted and even missed a couple of meals catching up on sleep. I could not have been in a better place to recover. The staff were great and the food is wonderful. The view is one of a kind.

booked to visit the waterfall & World Heritage sites, which were sublime, and we equally enjoyed the hotel experience. gorgeous lobby felt like a mossy forest. we had beautiful ocean & mountain view from room & from onsen. the meals were a taste of Japan prepared especially for our vegetarian diets, which we sincerely appreciated. there were dance performances that we did not expect that were a treat. & the short walk around the coastal corner to see an island torii gate was a cherry on top. I don’t know if we will ever be back in this part of the world, but dream of returning & would book this hotel again. friendly staffthank you so much!

Vue magnifique et très bon dîner et petit-déjeuner

La vue sur la baie de la chambre et du restaurant est magnifique. La chambre traditionnelle japonaise était grande mériterait un rafraîchissement. Les murs présentaient en particulier pas mal de raillures. Par contre les tatamis étaient en parfait état. La propreté de la chambre n'était pas très bonne avec pas mal de poussière (par exemple sur le cadre décoratif et sur la sortie de clim). J'ai trouvé le dîner japonais traditionnel de la demi pension excellent et copieux. Je suis resté deux jours et ils s'arrangent pour proposer un menu différents. Le petit-déjeuner traditionnel japonais est bon. De plud le personnel est très agréable et compréhensif. Au final, malgré ses défauts j'ai beaucoup apprécié cet hôtel avec sa demi pension.

古いホテルを何とか綺麗にリニューアルされてるが、部屋の風呂とか見るに耐えない部分もあった。が、スタッフの対応や食事はすごく良かったと思う。でもやはり今回の和洋室でテレビは和室でしか見れないけど、全くくつろげないのでしんどかった。

Propert was probably great in 1977, they just haven’t updated it since. The pictures are propaganda. Our room was horrible, we checked out a day early they stuck us with the bill. Don’t stay here

以前は勝浦御苑ホテルだったという事でした。 泊まった事があるホテルとは知らずにいました。少し改装されていましたが、部屋の古さには仕方なしでした。

まず、予約内容がきちんとホテル側に伝わっていなくて、料理が勝手に変更され更には予約通りの料理に戻して貰えずでした。料理を楽しみにしていたので非常に残念でした。 もう1つ楽しみにしてた温泉をしっかり楽しみたいと思い、入っていたところ日本人の方と海外の方がもめ始め、他にも女性の方が入浴しているにも関わらず、日本人の方がご主人を呼んでしまい裸の男性が女風呂に入ってきて大暴れしてしまう事件が起こりました。 ホテル側に責任は無いのかも知れませんが、この事件は非常識にも程があります。 決して安くない値段のホテル、料理や温泉を楽しみにしていた旅行だったのでとにかく残念でした。チェックアウトの時にも前夜の説明もされずとてもモヤモヤしたままの帰宅となりました。

Staff were helpful and friendly. Can tell property needs to be updated, but it was very clean. In unit open air Onsen was nice, but it became too noisy with people talking out loud at their open air Onsen. View from the unit was amazing. Dinner and the breakfast were outstanding. We experienced another amazing Japanese hospitality here.

Our room in traditional Japanese style was the size of a small apartment. Beautiful woodwork and tatami-mats. Nice view of the water with comfortable sitting area. Easily walkable to train and bus station. While i don't remember signing up for it, dinner and breakfast were included and delicious.
