I had prepaid for my room and was charged the night before. Upon check-in, the host told me it was his first day. He asked for my credit card so I thought he was verifying my identity. He asked me to swipe my card for incidentals which I did but I had to swipe it twice and he charged me for the room again—even though I was prepaid. Since I was using a debit card, I received a bank notification that here were two charges on my card. Again, I said I had paid for the room and showed him the confirmation and the receipt. It was at this point he told me it was his first day and he’d get the manager. They claim to have removed the charges but it’s not off of my card as of this morning and I was told today it would be 3-5 days before there would be a refund. I don’t believe a person should be running the front desk on their first day with little to no training. It’s an inconvenience to have been charged twice for this room. Other than that, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the parking area was well lit and safe. I just wish I wasn’t left on the hook for these charges.
