In the first moment we definitely weren’t pleased, when we came into the room. Seems like an US Motel from the 2000‘s. The linen got some stains, furniture was simple and of some age. Our mood got better when we read, that the stains come from the water quality in Carnarvon, and the motel doesn’t bear responsibility. In fact the room was very clean ant he beds comfy, it’s just not Brandnew. We had dinner at the restaurant (hot rock), which was really excellent!

We were stuck there cause we couldn’t go up the broome not much to do, but we made the best of our three days up there not much dining options in the evening quite a few fast food joints during the day when 6 o’clock comes not much dining out options our hotel had a buffet between six and eight

I truly do not want to write a negative review, as I understand it impacts small businesses, (and I have seen the owner is quick to respond to any perceived negative feedback online aggressively!) but I need to comment / warn on my stay. I was passing through on the way up north, and I booked a room to break up the drive. I wasn’t looking for anything “flash” or high end, but the very least clean… upon getting into my room, I found hairs of all different sorts and colours on all 3 beds (I tried to move beds with hopes it was cleaner!) and the bedding was stained and clearly worn/unclean. I don’t mind dated decor, etc., but the pure hygiene of the motel was unexpectedly bad. I have photos to follow.
