We had a lovely stay and the staff were very helpful as when we got there we weren't sure about the carpark but reception explained how it worked. What i did like was we were asked if we wanted housekeeping as we were only there for two days we didn't see the point so we said no. The hotel for us was in a perfect position with lovely sea views and the promenade a minute away. We would definitely stay there again.

Not sure if it’s just me but there were no curtains just vertical blinds over single glazing which didn’t shut out light plus there was a green light above the door which reflected onto the mirror opposite. I struggle to sleep if the room isn’t dark. Staff were pleasant and helpful, parking good food was excellent. If I returned I would request a different room.

Staff made you feel really welcome, were helpful and friendly. Family room was freshly renovated and very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, plenty of choice, fresh quality cooked breakfast ingredients and very good value for money. Would definitely recommend to others.

Really friendly and helpful staff, in all areas Incredibly impressed with the space / size of room and particularly with the quality of he triple glazing - our room was right on the top corner, with windows on 2 sides. WE made the foolish error of leaving them open the first night we stayed, which meant we were awoken by the karaoke bar, late night revellers and the seagulls. HOWEVER, once we closed the windows we couldn't hear any of them It's an old building, and this is evident in that some of the decor is a little dated and tired, which has been reflected in my rating, but everything worked, was sufficiently clean and I'll be very happy to stay here again. Good choice of options for breakfast.

The Royal Hotel is situated in a perfect position on the seafront in the centre of town. It offers plenty of parking so staying there is very easy and convenient. Staff are pleasant and obliging. All in all a good value hotel.We will stay again.
