Staff at front desk was very pleasurable. Food was excellent for late night dining. It was a little difficult climbing to the third floor for my husband who is 72 years old.

I loved the inn and the grounds. I really wanted to eat at the restaurant but could not be there for dinner and it isn’t open for breakfast or lunch. The inn is wonderful.

10/10 Excellent

My overnight stay was perfect! Room and bathroom were very clean. Enjoyed it more than staying at a hotel! Although the restaurant didn't have a lot of GF options, everything smelled awesome. I would have given it a try if I didn't have other plans. Will stay here again anytime I am in Rochester!!!

Lovely historic inn.
Christine, 3-night trip

6/10 Okay

This is a lovely historical inn. It is managed by people who see and enjoy its history. They make it accessible and popular to people who enjoy socializing to music in this atmosphere close to nature but also in a small city setting. All of this is excellent. The only concerns come with the expectations of modern travel (e.g. bigger rooms, bathrooms with space for travel items, etc.) still, breakfast is ample and well thought-out, rooms are very clean, staff capable & friendly. If one chooses to stay for supper, meals appear to have good variety and well-priced.
Shirley, 2-night trip

A really nice stay in an historic mansion. The rooms are good sized with a comfortable bed and blackout curtains which was nice. The on site restaurant was great for drinks and dinner. Would definitely recommend.

8/10 Good

Great spot just need to improve a few things

Love the Governors Inn our only complaint is the beds just aren’t that comfortable, better than last time, but not the best still. Carriage house is cute but shower pressure was awful Restaurant & bar are fantastic & can’t say enough good things about staff ! Will go back but stay in different room !
