I’m not Thai but The XYM is a great place to stay. Perfect location and a short distance away from both the international airport and the old city area. There is also a western style gourmet food market and a shopping center a short distance and easy walk nearby. There’s also the hotel’s coffee shop,7-11, pharmacy and traditional Thai hot pots restaurants nearby …

Nice hotel! Quite, clean, a lot of parking, nice staff, and not too far from all of the market. I have no complaints about the hotel especially 7/11 was at the front of the hotel. The house keeping was so thoughtful even I didn’t let them clean my room during the stay but they still left me with clean towel and water bottles at my door everyday.

Beautiful birdsong, the distant sound of temple bells, and the landscaping of plants. I spent five days meditating in my room. It made me wish to spend my later years in a hotel like this in Thailand after retirement. Pros • The staff is friendly. • It’s close to the airport. • The interior design is sophisticated. Great Place to Stay …

Great place to stay. Close to the airport without the usual aircraft noise. Surrounded by many restaurants and dining options, a convenience store and a coffee shop. A major shopping center and two western style supermarkets are at a easily walkable distance. Located off street in a very quiet location. Great staff, the bed sheets are both clean and crisp and the hot water is hot. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The XYM is my only go to place to stay when I’m in Chiang Mai …

The room itself was nice, get a studio with the balcony, helpful if you're there for a minute and want to air dry laundry outside. Plus just nice to have the balcony. Staff was helpful when asked for things. Coffee available downstairs in the lobby in the morning. 2 bottles of water in the room each day. Laundry available on the 2nd floor, 2 washers, 1 dryer. Buy some laundry soap at the 7-11 downstairs (can be had for as little as about 5baht per packet of soap). Dryer finished part way through as it's on an auto setting and can't be changed, clothes were still very wet. Skip the dryer and just air dry. Location is ok. 2.5km from the airport, so we actually just walked. Close to the airport mall, which has tons of food options on the ground floor, along with a Tops grocery store. 7-11 is basically attached to the hotel. Across the street is a night market with food stalls. Old city is about a 30min walk. My big gripe was around the pool terrace on the 5th floor. We had booked a room ahead of time, mostly because of the pool. When we arrived, there was a sign up stating the pool was closed. Asked the front desk guy and he says it's closed for several weeks. Had notice been given, plans would have changed, so that was a big bummer. Especially with as warm as it was, we were really wanting to use the pool. The entire roof terrace was closed along with the pool, so couldn't even make use of that.

Great place to stay along with being conveniently located near the Airport. The hotel is very close to Central Airport Plaza (shopping center) a Thai style open market and two western style supermarkets all are within walking distance. There are several restaurants close which includes traditional Thai, Thai style hot pot, Japanese cuisine and Thai street food carts are just one street away. The staff is helpful and accommodating and the hotel is very well maintained.
