Fantastic location and the staff are welcoming and helpful. Amber on reception was incredibly helpful. The room was magnificent and large with a veranda and incredible view. The bed was comfortable and the resort very quiet. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious. Seeing the resident springbok and other wild animals that live and roam in the area was such a treat too. Would definitely recommend the Lodge and will stay again.

Nice short stay. 40 min drive to Cape Town and to airport so wasn’t bad for early drive for the flight. Air conditioning wasn’t working on arrival but it was fixed for our second night. No air con was on at breakfast which would have been nice but the breakfast was nice. Didn’t stay long enough to use facilities but overall a lovely location and nicely presented hotel

Checkin process wasn’t great, sent message requesting an earlier checking at 7am on the day, had to chase a few times and then never got a full reply. I eventually had to call. Upside: Estate is lovely, it’s safe. Downside: The lodge is quite dated, shower drain was blocked and breakfast was sub standard. I wouldn’t recommend.

Room needs attention, it is supposedly a 4 star establishment, lots of damp marks on walls and bathroom seems to only have a light coat of paint on walls. I am only 1.72m tall and the beds were too short for me and my wife, our feet was hanging over edge.

The Lodge is a bit dated and whilst comfortable, there were a few issues with the room. The desk chair was rickety, the desk lamp didn’t work, the heater foot was broken and the aircon remote needed new batteries.

On our arrival we were received very friendly and warmly. When entering our room it was very spacious and comfortable. Even the bed for our 6 year old granddaughter was ready. The rusks and coffee was a great luxury, especially for our 6 year old; when she though there is a rusk shortage she went to the dinning room and every time she was spoiled with extra rusks. Overall, we had a wonder time staying at the The Lodge at Atlantic Beach and their hospitality is no where else to found.. The Lodge at Atlantic Beach is highly recommended.

Good golf course (difficult in the wind) and facilities even despite the drought and water shortage. It is some way outside of Cape Town, but within 30 minutes you are in the centre of town, or the winelands.
