Breakfast on Sunday consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, potatoes, donuts, bagels, toast, and oatmeal. Our only complaint was that the ketchup was brown and may have been old…everything else was great! It was clean and quiet, comfy beds. Pillows are fluffy so if you need a smaller pillow, bring your own.👍😊

Location seemed questionable with our room backed up to an ally type passage with another building behind us. Staff was semi-friendly but never smiled and one never spoke to me but used thumbs up when I asked a question about if my payment went through (I’m not sure if she spoke English or not and she seemed to be possibly in training). My husband reserved a room with two queen beds and a fold out sofa so we would have more space (we were traveling with two dogs), but I didn’t realize that and when I checked us in the man asked if we needed a fold out sofa and I said no and he changed our room to one without it without even telling me that he was changing our reservation. We found a hair in our bed and the breakfast was not very good or fresh. Potatoes were plain and bland and the scrambled eggs were starting to dry out and there were not enough of them for the people who came in after us (given we were near the end of the breakfast hour). There was no attendant there to check on breakfast items at that point either. Some of the bagels were clearly old and dry and hard. Our experience could have been worse, but it definitely could have been better. The pet fee was only $25/dog or so and that was better than some places that charge $50/dog. However, we do not plan to stay there again.

Breakfast on our last morning was not ready by the time it was supposed to start and looked like what was out was left overs from the morning before. Breakfast was supposed to be at 7 but wasn’t out until 745 and wasn’t heated up. Many people went without as there was a big volleyball tournament and nothing to eat before heading out.

For the most part, my stay was quite acceptable. Room was comfortable, clean, and relatively modern. Checkin and checkout were easy and handled by a friendly and knowledgable desk clerk. Room rate was very competitive. My criticism would be the quality of breakfast. Poor (old?) scrambled eggs, no meat, ( empty/not refilled ) and somewhat old and stale bread. No pastries of any kind. I was in the breakfast area for a minimum of 45 minutes and not once did I see an attendant. Experience was just not acceptable.

This hotel has evidently been sold since I was here last month. This hotel had previously been professionally managed, well taken care of with a manager and team in place that cared about the property, customers and atmosphere. As soon as I walked in, I knew things had changed. Non-professional attired staff at check-in, lobby not decorated for the holidays, overall appearance of the place was different. Hotel needed vacuuming, room not as perfect as usual and the breakfast was a joke. Dining area was messy, very few items to select. Eggs and sausage were minimal and cold. Juice machines broken, no yogurt or selection at all. I skipped breakfast. I have stayed here over 25 time in the last 5 years. The new owners and management do not come close to the level this hotel had been experiencing. Former management team were excellent. I hate to see this hotel go down this path.

I chose this hotel for location, it’s very walkable to the Main Street, so it’s business friendly. However, it was one of the highest priced hotels in the area. I asked the receptionist if there was an event going on to make it higher priced, but I was one of three guests there, parking lot empty. She gave me a room with a view of the wall & utility wires, pipes. I asked for another room & was given the room next to it with the view of an alley. Finally I was given a room facing the street view, much better. Sad because the view of the nearby bluffs is beautiful & available at other hotels in the area. The room was clean but of the quality of budget hotels.
