Pleasant surprise

Spent the night on a travel trip between Houghton and Marquette after driving 9 hours. Easy access right on the highway. Surprisingly quiet.very nice owners on the premises that are a phone call away—if you need to call to check in late, just let them know 24 hours in advance. It’s a classic 1960 MOTEL that was remodeled about 10 years ago. It’s attractive and my son thought it was pretty neat. Newish bathroom set up and clean room. No AC but there are 2 big fans.

The staff were very friendly and gave us helpful tips to make our stay more pleasant. The bed was not very comfortable, and the tub drained very very slowly. The door did not have a proper lock, which was a little unsettling. Overall the room was nice and a good value for the price.

This is a totally refurbished single story motel. The owners did a fantastic job with the remodel. Its clean, neat, and the bed is very comfy! Coffee, muffins, juice and fruit cups for breakfast. There's a small restaurant/bar next door. The rooms are otfitted with a table and chairs, fridge, microwave and TV. Internet is available as well. Two sisters, Sara, Mary, and family have worked hard to provide a homey, clean atmosphere!
