I stayed at Hotel Doria on a one night layover. The rooms are very small. Bed was comfy but soft. There was white stains on the green curtains that was off putting. No bath mat in the bathroom so I had to use a hand towel. The step down from shower to tile floor without a mat is dangerous. Included breakfast was great! Location is perfect, right in the action.

I stayed at the Doria with two friends - rooms are relatively small but are functional and clean. Hotel is relatively basic but the staff are friendly and helpful and the location is very convenient for the centre, but not right on top of the lively areas so we didn’t have any issues with noise. If you’re looking for a cost effective place to sleep in central Amsterdam I would recommend Doria.

It's an ok stay. The wall is very thin and the door to the staircase and rooms are always slammed very loudly. This may be guest's issue but if the hotel can find a way to such as installing soft closing device on doors, that would be great.

Doria located right in the heart of Amsterdam. Everything you need is just right around you. Enjoy and be happy! Staff of the hotel is very nice and helpful. It was time of happiness!

perfect location, 5-min walk to subway station and Dam Square. Breakfast included and nice staff. But cleanliness certainly has big room to improve. We saw blood stains on linens and water on the floor of the restroom. Super tiny restroom that you can't put your legs,straight when sitting on the toilet.

Great location but the hotel is in rough shape. The walls were filthy and stained yellow. Hadnt been painted in 20 years. The laminate floor was super beat up and there were cigarette ashes on the window sill of the room when i checked in. Its a 1 star hotel in a super busy location. AC was a plus though. Nice staff.

I should know better than to transit through Amsterdam on a weekend. It was adequate property, lovely staff, good location. Convenient to everything. Tram stop a block away. Clean. Expensive for what it is. Single bed (not a twin) tight quarters.

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times. During this particular stay I had a few issues but I raised them with the staff immediately and whilst I was out they rectified the problems. The room was clean and I had my own bathroom. Unlike most places in Amsterdam the staircase to go to reception is not very steep and there aren't many steps. It's also very close to central station.

Location is right next to the Dam Square, Red Light District and other shopping areas, not to mention 10 min walk from Cetraal Station. Staff were very friendly, especially Ruben & Nilo, always there with tips and guides. My only complain is, lack of airconditioning, middle of the summer it was hot hot hot...Otherwise, I will recommend this place to all my friends and I will stay there again. Geeva

Very friendly staff at this hotel which is full of character. I stayed for one night and am glad I chose the Hotel Doria as it was a friendly and safe place to stay as a woman on their own. I was close to everything I wanted to see in the city and had the benefit of a small but very clean room to return to in the evening. I stayed during the King’s Day celebrations so it was very lively outside, inside was a oasis of calm however. The breakfast was fresh and delicious and I thought very generous for what was described as a Continental breakfast with bread, pastries, meat and eggs, fruit, yogurts plus coffee or tea and fruit juice. An ideal place to stay for travellers wanting a more personal experience, I will certainly return if in Amsterdam again.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Tiny room. Slanted ceiling making it even smaller. Hallways all the way up to top floor smelt like pizza from restaurant below. Staff was rude at front desk.

I have never seen walls so dirty before. The bathroom door was do narrow, I had to go sideways. Bathroom was so small, I could not even sit on the toilet. Almost cut my head open on the loose screws in the broken doorframe. Avoid.
