A quick overnight stay with my sister and elderly mother. We stayed in one of the cottages. Price was right for off season. Parking was a little walk, not bad. The pathway to the cottage was difficult for my mother to navigate with a walker: sand, glass pebbles, patio steps. The smell of the cleaning supplies was pleasant but quite overwhelming, we had to air the cottage as it gave us all an immediate headache. Once aired it was fine. Bring your own food/drinks off season, as nothing but a little convenient store was open at 5pm and food items there were expensive!

Blue - Inn on the Beach is a fabulous property. It is well hidden on a stretch of beach on Plum Island that we never knew existed ( and we lived near Newburyport for many years)! The sunrise views of the ocean from our deck, the comfortable bed and breakfast delivered every morning at your door are to die for. We can’t wait to return!

Blue-Inn on the Beach - Thank you

First time stay and it lived up to everything they advertised. The view was to die for and the breakfast was a delightful picnic basket in the morning at our door, with a pot of coffee. We will return when the weather is warmer but the fireplace in the room made it very cozy even in the cold weather.

I stayed in the Lark Suite and it was well worth it. Everything was neat, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The views from our room were amazing and just what we wanted. It was all good. From the welcome at checkin to the breakfast delivered in the morning. My room had a patio that was right on the beach so even though it was cold and windy I still had a great view.

We’ll be coming back

A lovely winter getaway. Our room was comfortable and set up like a studio apt. Breakfasts delivered to our room were tasty and creative. The ocean was just outside our door, loved our walks on the beach and it was great to be on the edge of the NWR. Newbury/Newburyport is quiet this time of year but we had no trouble finding great places to eat. A lot of snow and parking lot was icy but hey, it’s winter in New England.
