Vintage home, unique accommodations. Be prepared for zero staff on site, musty smells and freeway noise. Bedding and towels are older and not high quality.

8/10 Very good

It was GOOD - Nice home, beautifully decorated, quiet, near the Superdome -wasn't particularly fond of a VERY tiny bathroom or the actual street it was located

Portable AC unit connected to the window was more than sufficient. Room was very clean. Bed is quite soft; almost too soft for me but the wife loved it. Street parking is available but we only needed that for drop off. It's 1-1/2 blocks to the St. Charles streetcar, and not much more to the Amtrak and Greyhound station. Probably the worst I could say about this space is that the toilet is a bit cramped. Other than that it was very nice! Full communal kitchen downstairs, but we only used the coffee maker.

6/10 Good

We recently stayed at the WG Creole House. We have a few suggestions that hopefully will make future guests more comfortable. 1. Provide some easy-to-use coffee/tea service either in the room or in the common area. There wasn't a working refrigerator, and the existing machines made a full pot. Suggest getting a Keurig system, bottled water - much better. 2. TV service - make it known that visitors will need to use their own Fire TV Stick to use channels besides regular TV. 3. Provide a listing of restaurants in the area that can be walked to.

Joseph and Melissa lead a truly outstanding establishment..a beautiful historic home two blocks from the St. Charles Streetcar. For those who prefer having the feel of a home vs. the traditional stays of packed hotels, WG Creole 1850 is for you. Meticulously maintained and wonderfully adorned with comfortable beds and private baths, this is your refuge. An easy commute to uptown and the French Quarter.

Great for the price , the place is very beautiful and more than feeling like a hotel it feels like you are staying in a traditional colonial house . It's also very easy to get around from there to other places in the city .
