A great little place in Alajuela with wonderful tucked away rooms off a small courtyard and the best staff. When we had to cancel at last minute, they were so gracious, and when we arrived for a second visit we found the place tranquil and serene. The access to the airport is very good via taxi as well.

This is quaint historic hotel in the heart of the city. Easy walking to the museum and Central Park. It is like an oasis within the city. The staff is attentive and the rooms are clean and quiet. Breakfast is wonderful. Ask about parking as the city is very congested. Definitely recommended!

This hotel is quaint and lovely right by the Central Park in alajuela. There are several restaurants but not a ton. To see and do in the are. The staff were amazing and breakfast was very good. We had a superior room so our own bathroom and a/c.

It's always a pleasure staying there. Smaller rooms, some have shared bathrooms, but the building is nice and well maintained. I think it's the staff that make the stay exceptional though; friendly, helpful service and always available to make your stay safe and comfortable. Be sure to have breakfast there if you can.

Pros: clean, good service, good breakfast, good location, comfortable. Cons: no safe in my room (although I never felt my stuff were in any danger) but still, room 7 overlooks breakfast courtyard area which is also used for relaxing by guests, makes it a bit tough to sleep in.

This lovely family run vintage hotel is just minutes from the airport by taxi. The staff are super friendly and helpful, eager to provide any service they can. It is like staying with friends. Don’t expect air con, you won’t need it anyway, do expect a delightful breakfast, delicious coffee, comfortable beds, and smiles and courtesy from everyone who works there.
