Self help to check in. Provide microwave for use in the breakfast place. After meal, we can enjoy the hot tub until 22:30. It was great. The breakfast is good providing fresh food likes cheese, ham, waffle, bread, yogart ...etc.

My spouse and I stayed here in early October on a road trip around the South Coast. I'm late with the review but wanted to make sure that I wrote one since we very much enjoyed our stay at Lambastadir Guesthouse! The room was spacious (compared to some of our other accommodations in Iceland in the same price range) and was clean and comfortable. The beds were especially comfortable. The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The quiet, rural location made for a restful stay and we experienced a great Northern Lights display on the night that we stayed! We made use of the hot tub on site and it was lovely at sunrise. We enjoyed dinner out at Krisp in nearby Selfoss. The town is also a convenient location to stock up on essentials if you're travelling (food, gas, etc.). We would definitely recommend Lambastadir and hope that one day we have the good fortune to return.

Not really their fault but there was a crying baby that the parents decided to walk up and down the hall all night to try to settle down but kept the rest of us awake.

Dueños amables, buena posicion, muy tranquila. Desayuno no muy variado pero aceptable. Sorprende que para lo caras que son las habitaciones tengas que quitarte los zapatos al entrar "para no ensuciar el pasillo" y sobre todo que tengas que recoger tu propia mesa cuando has acabado el desayuno.

Loved the breakfast with a waffle maker. Excellent staff. Great option for use of hot tub and sauna. My only complaint would be to be given an extra set of towels and facecloths. Only one towel each to shower and one hand towel but no face cloths which I found a bit odd. But I’m sure we would be given an extra towel if we had asked.

Fantastic place to stay for our first night in Iceland. We arrived quite early and we were not expecting to check in, but the host had a room ready for us within minutes! Very friendly staff and super accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and plenty of food to chose from. I highly recommend this guesthouse. The rooms were very clean, spacious and the bed was nice and comfortable. We came back for a second night from the highlands and made good use of the hot tub and sauna which felt like heaven after multiple day hikes.
