A beautiful and quaint B&B in a lovely part of New Hampshire. Stay here for the breakfasts; host David is basically a gourmet chef and is doing some serious cooking with his scratch-made breakfasts that are different every day.

Always a Great Stay!

It is always delightful to stay at the Colonel Spencer Inn! David and Trevin are so welcoming and friendly. The breakfasts and snacks are amazing and served up in a comfortable, homey atmosphere. They also give wonderful recommendations to area restaurants businesses. I have always had a great experience and will stay there anytime I'm in the area.

Old Home Lovers

The home was built in 1764 and still has the wide knotty pine flooring and low ceilings - a real treat if you like old homes! The owner was gracious and helpful and the breakfast was amazing! Pastry wrapped in bacon - wonderful treat. The room was comfortable and well kept - complete with the original fireplace. A great place to unwind after a long day on the trails. Will keep it in list of places to return to.

Amazing B&B with Incredible Breakfast

My experience at Colonel Spencer Inn was fabulous. This was the first time I have taken a hiking trip on my own. When I arrived at the Manchester airport in the evening, I received a call from David checking in with me. This was such a nice gesture as he put my mind at ease. Once I arrived, David met me at my car and helped me upstairs with my luggage. Then he gave me a tour around the Inn and offered me homemade cookies and fruit. The breakfast each day I was there was phenomenal! I missed the breakfast as soon as I left. David gave me fantastic dinner options nearby and helped me find the hiking trails to take. Overall, my experience was perfect and I am excited to go back again!

AMAZING! I travel to a different city EVERY weekend for business.. Generally stay at the big hotel chains. Due to location I found this gem.. I have never left a review anywhere, but David was so accommodation that I thought he deserved a five star review. 250 year old house in wonderful shape, all the charm of a BnB. Friendly reception, clean room, awesome towels and even padded comfortable floor mat when stepping out of the shower. I know an odd thing to mention, but it was noticed. I left very early before breakfast, he was so kind to pack me a full breakfast and leave it in the fridge so when I left it was waiting for me. Its right down the road from a really cool outdoor restaurant looking over a river and a covered bridge... Will definitely stay there again.

Absolutely amazing! David and Trevor are incredible hosts. The home is beautiful and feels like you are stepping back into time with great energy. The homemade breakfast was delicious and they accommodate dietary restrictions. I recommend buying the mugs. Too cute! Thanks for an incredible trip :)

Unparalleled customer service. Made to feel very welcome by the two owners. They even opened breakfast early upon request. Can't say enough about the customer service. Wonderful. The house is old and historic with oodles of charm. The location is perfect to reach various hikes and ski areas in a short drive. Plenty of restaurant options with 10 minutes drive. Highly recommend.
