Most of the amenities are all closed down in November. The room was average as was the restaurant. Staff are pretty nice. The cost was $35 more than what was quoted by hotels.com so that was pretty annoying.

Was a wonderful stay. Old resort, but, that didn’t even bother us. Only thing that was bad was the WiFi. However, in the mountains, you get what you get!

We loved the area it’s so remote and quiet !!! The staff was friendly the rooms were clean as stated in reviews alittle dated but functional.. for a state run hotel they do a great job maintaining it .. The tv had a black line on the screen and the lamp between the beds was alittle rough should be replaced !! Walls are thin heard ppl talking next door .. but it’s a beautiful area if you like to hike and just relax, we would stay again

Great value, lovely site
This is a lovely place to stay. The lodge is well maintained even though it's obviously aging. The property, however, is great, and the breakfast was wonderful. Service was pleasant and personable. This was a wonderful family retreat--and the price can't be beat!

Worth the visit
The desk staff were amazing throughout our stay. They went above and beyond. They surprised us with a bottle of non-alcoholic champagne along with champagne glasses for our anniversary. We had a less than good experience with the restaurant staff the first evening but they went above and beyond to accommodate us our second visit. The Governor needs to invest in upgrades for this hidden gem.

My family and myself went for a 1 night getaway to just spend time with our mother as a late birthday getaway. I mean, we took up 7 rooms, lol, thats what i mean by family. It was amazing, even though it was winter there was still plenty to do, especially going to thw game room and playing uno until after midnight while all the little played witth the huge checker board and pool table. The restaurant's food is amazing!!! I will definitely go here again!

Room was average, cleanliness average, service was good, mid week stay and it was very peaceful.
The railings are too high on the balcony or the chairs need to be barstools. When sitting in a chair you stare at a 6 in railing. Terrible!
