Ein schönes Guest House. Das Zimmer war absolut in Ordnung, das Bad sehr klein. Leider wenig Steckdosen. Frühstück war sehr gut. Freundliches Personal. Obwohl neben der Bahn ruhig. Gut erreichbar vom Bahnhof und in die Stadt. Empfehlenswert.

L’accueil est très chaleureux. La chambre est confortable à l’exception des oreillers beaucoup trop minces. Très bien situé pour visiter le centre de York. Le petit déjeuner était très bien également. J’y retournerais.

What a great base for a visit to York. Out of the hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy the walk into town. The staff were very polite and professional and our room was spotless and very quiet(room 10) Thankyou for making our long weekend that much better

It was a short walk from the train station and we were able to walk along the river and to the downtown. Breakfast was excellent and it was very quiet.

Nice, clean guest house, very close walk from the station. Enjoyed the breakfast, and the staff were welcoming. Only a couple of issues. First, the lighting is too gloomy. A few more lumens would have made the room appear brighter. Second, my room was at the front of the house, and I was awakened at 3am by noisy works going on at the railway opposite. To be fair, the weather was really warm and I had left the windows opened. When i shut them, the double glazing helped suppress the noise.

Everything is brilliant about St. Mary's Guest House in York! Location is perfect - just 10 min stroll along the river front into the centre. Beds very comfy. Breakfast pentiful, cooked to order and delicious. Manager, Caroline, is wonderful. Parking inexpensive and easy. We would highly recommend this for a city break.

We had a lovely stay. The breakfast was first class, as were the staff. I have two comments about our room (8) - the pillows were a bit lumpy and if we had occasion to stay again, I’d request not to stay in this room because of the two steep steps down into the bathroom. Younger folk may have no problem with them but being that much older and having creaky knees, it wasn’t easy to negotiate them. Thankfully there was a very sturdy rail to hold onto. But I’d still request a different room. All that being said - we still enjoyed our stay.
