Renovation - didn’t communicate this until after I booked and paid in full. The gym was closed. There was no working space (I was there on a work trip and needed at least a table in the room or in the lobby. But, the lobby was closed due to Reno).
Unusual service. Always lots of receptionists stood behind chatting but slow service.
Poor air con.
Rooms were made up really late. I left on a Saturday at 9, came back at 530 to freshen up and room still hand not been serviced.
One cleaner didn’t even knock on the room and walked in on me naked in the bath, didn’t apologies. Just stared for 3 seconds then shut the door (weird).
Uncomfortable bed - probably worst sleep I’ve had in a hotel. I had to open the window due to poor aircon (in Nov!) but the noise of the trams kept me up all night.
Room was also very dark, difficult if you want to do makeup.
I stayed here about a year ago, I noticed now checking my old booking that I’ve paid almost double I did then, and nothing was open. I usually book a hotel specifically for gym. They didn’t communicate this even on their renovation email they sent after I had booked and paid in full.
