Affordable Rustic Charm

One night stay between visiting towns. This bed and breakfast type hacienda is clean and charming, the pool was nice. Located about 6 blocks from nearest restaurants. Close walk to beach. Breakfast was very good, but bed was uncomfortable and hot water was hit or miss.

The grounds of this property are truly amazing. I felt like I was in a natural reserve. It is so peaceful and safe feeling. A Costa Rica Feel

If you want to feel like you are actually in Costa Rica, but have modern accommodations, this is the place. Our studio room with kitchen was a little dated but comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The best part was the surrounding gardens where we were visited by monkeys and birds of all types. The pool area was small but very nice. They claim to have a grill area but it requires wood or charcoal so not convenient. It is an easy 1 block to the beach, 1/4 mile to groceries and several bars/Restaurants. Would gladly return.

The property is nice but the rooms are pretty bare & could use an update. The mattresses & pillows are super thin; the least comfortable of the three Costa Rican hotels we stayed in. We had several insects in our room throughout the stay since the doors are left wide open before check-in. The pool is lovely but would be nicer if there was music or even a bar. While the staff was super friendly, they were hard to locate at certain times of day when you had questions.
