The hotel’s location was perfect; walkable distance to almost all of central Rome, and a handy 2 minutes walk to Termini station for other destinations. Sadly I found the noise from the street at night, and from other guests in the morning, to be loud and a disturbance.
The room itself was basic; which I don’t usually mind, however this felt very ‘tired’. Some of the lamp shades were missing bulbs, and not all that did worked. The door frame was beginning to peel away from the wall, and some corners of the room had cracked in the wall. The bathroom wasn’t entirely clean, with hairs from previous guests stuck to the walls, and scattered across the floor.
As a solo traveller, I didn’t feel comfortable asking for maintenance or cleaning services during my stay, as I was leaving some personal belongings in the room while I explored the city.
If I were to return to Rome in the future, I will likely look at alternative hotels in the same area.
