Another Great Stay

Another great stay at Dr. Wilkinson’s. Great food at the restaurant and the staff, from the GM Jose, to Edgar at the front desk, and Shawn (the man who keeps the place physically running) are incredible.

Fun, relaxing hotel for weekend trip with friends

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Dr. Wilkinson's! The hotel is cute, mid-century millennial style, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The pools were a highlight with three different pools are different temperatures. There were plenty of lounge chairs around the pool and you can order food and drinks from the restaurant to the pool area. They also have cruiser bikes that you can borrow for free and there's a trail right by the hotel. Recommend staying here!

Wonderful experience, just two comments: in room coffee is horrible and it would be nice if restaurant opened at 7 am

Comfortable stay at a fun property

The room was very comfortable, although the heat/ac unit became quite warm and noisy when it kicked on and off. (should have turned if off completely even though it was 45 degrees at night). The room was quiet and the property was a fun place to stay.

Great spa hotel. Stayed for one night for wine tasting and hot springs. Location is excellent with a market across the street with restaurants nearby and on property. Access to 3 mineral springs pools (85, 95 and 105 degrees) was included with hotel room. Paid extra for a mud bath spa experience which was pricey but great to do at least once. Glad we planned this the day after wine tasting as the mud bath is very hot. Other than the mineral springs, the highlight was the staff who went above and beyond for any need or request. Tip: bring bug spray if dining in their restaurant as seating is outdoors.

8/10 Very good

Parking and check-in were super easy. This is more of a motel than a hotel or a resort but it was still really nice. It is a walk up window to order food at the restaurant, but the food was pretty good. I wish it had a full bar, but they only had beer and wine and wine-based cocktails. The pools were great, even in the freezing rain. I tried to book us some massages three weeks before our arrival, but they were already booked up so that was pretty annoying but not a big deal. Had to walk to a spa across the street in the rain. The room was spacious and updated and we had a very good night of sleep.

Ughgh save your $$ and book something in the city. Cost must just be for approximity to the beach & still its at least a walk block. It is an old & run down property that they try to fix by putting a DJ in the lobby. No where to take the dogs potty & no restaurants open late night near by. Oh & not the deal breaker but the tv only has local cable. You cant even log onto Netflix.

Lipstick on a Pig

Over priced motel. Overall, I am disgusted by the $600/night price tag and the experience I had. They have high-end products like bath products from Malin+Goetz, blow dryers by Dry Bar, a robe by Parachute or a water kettle by Smeg…but the keyless entry didn’t work, our a/c had issues, our refrigerator was not working properly, and the single pane window rattle all night due to the wind. Had the worst sleep because you can hear everything. We wanted to grab a snack at the kitchen the first night we were there since the kitchen was supposedly open until 10, but we’re told, when we visited at 9:00, that the kitchen was closed due to a private event. When we asked the staff what options we had to grab a bite in Calistoga, we were told to Google places. We eat at the House of Better for breakfast. The food was OK, but one individual in our party ordered the avocado toast with the $3 extra for the poached egg (approx. $18 total) and the egg was hard boiled, another guest in our party ordered a side of toast, and got ONE piece of toast! When we checked out the person at the front desk asked us how our $1500, 2 night stay was, we told her not the best. She said, I am sorry, here is a bag of bath salts! Talk about pouring salt on a fresh wound. Overall, I would not have had issues had my total price been a third of what I paid. But when the cost is $600 per night, I expect more. Sorry Doc, I will not be back!
