For the price, this place was great. I got a private room that had the basic amenities, though the shower wasn´t the best. Location is central and close to all activity and shuttle drop offs and pick ups. Their social activities don´t seem to really happen, but I wasn´t there for that so all good. Staff was pleasant and chill.

We stayed at Socialtel Antigua for 4 nights and paid around $1500 for our stay. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet expectations, especially for that price point. For most of our stay, there was very poor water pressure, which made it difficult to even shower properly. This was only fixed on the last day, and then the next morning we didn’t have hot water at all. On top of that, there was construction happening directly above our room for the first few days. The noise made it hard to relax, which was disappointing since we were really looking forward to a peaceful vacation. The property itself has potential and a nice vibe, but the overall experience was frustrating. Given everything we experienced, we do feel some sort of credit or compensation for a future stay would be appropriate. Hopefully these issues get addressed for future guests.

Our stay was ok, we paid a lot more than the other hostels but don't feel like we got anything more for the value. It's a nice hostel, dude to the rain we couldn't use the pool. The breakfast area stank of booze in the morning which was quite off putting.
