Well maintained restored building in a small town. Clean and safe. Shops and eateries on Main St closed early so had to drive back to the interstate to find a place open. Pretty area, looks like shops are working to improve exteriors and there is a feeling of history and community.

Nichole was so helpful. We were arriving after 7:30pm and she suggested the J Huston Tavern in Arrow Rock for dinner. She also made our check in after hours easy. This Hotel is lovely and the gardens were beautiful. We loved this historic hotel and the Railroad History. We slept in a comfortable post bed. It was more than a hotel it was also a museum for us. Recommend, recommend and recommend.

The Town of Blackwater and Iron Horse Hotel was the end our short visit to 5 small towns in mid Missouri. The Hotel and Town exceeded our expectations. The Owner takes pride in this old Hotel and the Town. We would recommend that this is the Hotel and Town to visit in mid Missouri.

My family really loved the room in the old hotel. It was upkept nicely and was very comfortable. The town is so well preserved and adorable with several places to shop. It was quite relaxing and just what we were looking for :)

We had a wonderful stay in the cutest historic hotel and town. Everything was clean and left us wanting nothing. We enjoyed the short loop hike around the nearby Arrow Rock Historic Site.
