A great ryokan. The hot springs were not that large, but pleasent. The dinner and the breakfast were superb.

Excellent service!

We had a great stay at Ryokan Kiraku. First, the service is excellent! Even my son noticed: "Everyone is running!" They happily stored our bags when we arrived before check-in. Everything was explained clearly. The onsens were well-maintained, and we especially loved the ability to use the private onsen between certain hours, or reserve the family onsen. The location was very convenient, less than five minutes to Kannawa bus station. It's also quite a reasonable walk to five of the seven "Hells" (jigoku). A 7-11 is also within a 3 - 5 minute walk. The ryokan even gave us complimentary shuttle service to Beppu station, which saved us money! We reserved a room with a shared bathroom, and bathroom facilities were well-maintained. Breakfast was included, and it was quite the massive spread! Wifi is free, dependable, and fast. What made the biggest impression, however, was the happy, friendly service we received from every single member of the staff. That's quite rare nowadays!!

Jos alueen vulkaaninen toiminta ja kuumat lähteet kiinnostavat, ei tätä parempaa sijaintia ole. Majatalo on kävelyetäisyydellä 5/7 "jigoku":sta eli, merkittävimmistä kuumista lähteistä, jotka ovat paikallinen nähtävyys. (Emme tosin suosittele käymään kuin osassa sillä kaksi lähintä kohtelevat eläimiä huonosti). Kahteen kauempana kohteeseen sekä asemalle lähtee busseja 200m päästä. Itse kohteesta on todella kivat kuumat lähteet kylpemiseen (Onsen). Onseneitä sekä muita mielenkiintoisia kohteita löytyy majatalon ympäristöstä lisää. Paikka oli niin siisti kuin vain on mahdollista ja myös pääasiassa vegaaninen aamiainen onnistui, vaikkakin alkuun ilmoitettiin ettei sellaista ole saatavilla. Ehdottomasti 10/10 kohde

위치 최고

좋았어요~ 공용 화장실인것만 빼면. 근데 추워요ㅜㅜ 지하 실내온천탕은 너무 물이 뜨거워서 뜨거운물 못들어가시는 분들은 힘드실거예요 약 65도 예상합니다...;

저렴하게 료칸 체험하기엔 좋습니다. 노천탕 즐기는것 좋구요. (단, 노천탕 및 실내탕 즐기는 시간이 남녀 번갈아가면서 하는 거라 너무 늦게 입실하면 어중간하게 즐길 수 없어요... 저희가 그랬거든요) 위에 난방기가 있지만 우풍이 있어 새벽쯤에 찬기가 느껴져요. (이불속에 들어가면 괜찮음) 호텔만 이용하다 공용 화장실 및 욕실 사용기준의 료칸 사용이 매우 불편해요. 화장실가거나 간단한 세면하러 왔다갔다 할때마다 복도에 다른객실분들께 피해 안줄려고 눈치보며 살살 걸어다니고 조용히 말도 못하고 했네요... 딱 잠만 자고 노천탕 즐기는거라면 괜찮을꺼예요

Traditional Ryokan so no frills ..in heart of hot springs with fantastic outdoor and indoor Oden .. so really good if you like that... rigid conditions (but not applied!!) and a in Japanese and directions to find I have tried to help with.. will they apply them?

家族4人、1泊朝食付き

入り組んだ場所でちょっと1度では行けなかったです。駐車場が狭いですが、従業員さんが上手に対応して下さいます。お風呂は2種類入らせて頂きました。お湯が熱すぎて入れませんでしたが、家族風呂では水をバンバン入れて入れました。家族風呂では蜂の巣が2箇所あり、子供が怖がっておりました。朝食の準備で気になったのが、樽に入った冷や奴を足元に置いたまままたがっている従業員がおりいい気がしませんでした。見えないところではどうなってるんだろうと？子供も口にしますのでちゃんとして欲しいと思いました。駐車場専属の方がいらっしゃらないのか、旅館の中でも仕事している従業員さんが出たり入ったり車移動の対応もしており大変そうでした。最初に、物腰柔らかい男性の従業員さんがとても丁寧に旅館の説明をして下さいました。帰りには旅館の前でナイスポジションで写真をとってくださいました、ありがとうございました。

Nice place!

Erg leuke plek om te blijven voor een nacht (of twee). Een paar van de grootste trekpleisters van Beppu zijn op loopafstand, dat was voor ons ideaal. Het personeel is vriendelijk, ontbijt was lekker en de kamer schoon. Niks te klagen dus!

가마도지옥 바로 앞이라 위치가 좋았고, 가는날 숙박객이 많이 없어서 온천을 자유롭게 이용할수 있었습니다. 음식은 조금 짠편이었지만, 같이간 일행은 맛있다고 했습니다. 직원분도 친절하셨습니다.

Good location

Very well situated ryokan. Close to Beppu's infernos that are within walking distance. Comfy Japanese style room. Two onsets : the "inside" onsen is disappointing: old and dark like in a cave. Japanese only breakfast included at 8am. Not my taste and too early for us. So i stayed in bed untill i heard knocking at the door several times calling for breakfast. I politely said "no thank you". Then the phone rang a few times for...Breakfast. Not really a nice wake up call. Location is excellent but probably a bit expensive and please let us sleep if we choose to do so !

가족 여행으로 주위 관광 코스와 가까워서 편리했으며 숙박은 일본 전통 다다미방으로 큰 불편 사항은 없었다 단 야간에는 공동욕탕이 2시간 간격으로 남여 번갈아 가면서 씻어야 함으로 야간 관광하고 돌아오면 사워하기가 조금 불편한것이 단점이다.[그래도 우린 씻었다 :-) ]

料理に感動

料理が部屋食でゆっくりと味わえました。品数も多く、味もよくてとても満足しました。座椅子がリクライニングでなく、腰が痛くなりました。座椅子が変わればまた、泊まりたい。

It was a very worth while trip with super nice host . The onsen is very nice and the tatami is comfortable. Just don’t open the window during summer. It will invite many mosquitoes!

조석식이 깔끔하고 편안한 료칸

고급진 시설은 아니지만 청결상태 좋았고 깔끔하며 편했어요. 침구시트도 뽀송뽀송 공용 욕실 사용임에도 불편함 없었고 조석식 가이세키가 맛난 료칸! 벳부지옥순례와 버스정류장이 도보 매우 가까움.
