Large comfortable room that was well-equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay, plus the pub is downstairs with great food and drinks! Highly recommended!

4/10 Fair

The room was definitely not 4 star quality, at best this was equivalent to Travelodge. The towel hanger also was lose and hit me in the head while showering in the morning. It was a steel rod so it hit hard, if it was an old lady, it could have caused fatal damage
Worn chair
Chair was worn
Paint breaks
The luggage holder was dusty

Our second stay at The Wellington. A lovely gastro pub with B&B. Pub is lovely with great food. Room was large and light and airy with very comfortable bed and lovely furnishings. Bathroom is beautiful with a great shower, lovely towels and Elemis toiletries, even conditioner and body lotion. Tea and coffee facilities and water provided. Lovely choice for breakfast and cooked beautifully (eggs royale for me, full english for him) Staff lovely and friendly. Helped us out with taxi and very informative. Highly recommend

Relaxing and comfortable stay in North Bristol

I am so pleased I booked to stay three nights at the Wellington. Unlike a sterile chain-hotel, it was so comfortable and friendly. Even though the pub downstairs was buzzing I couldn't hear anything upstairs in my room from the pub or from any other guests, it was such a peaceful haven. My room had comfy armchairs as well as a huge desk that I could work at. I was also impressed with the cleanliness, particularly in the bathroom, everything was spotless. Plus, the staff were very friendly and the breakfasts were good too. Honestly, I can't fault it. Thank you for a really relaxing stay.

Brilliant stay at a newly staffed & managed hotel.

Staff, although new, were friendly & professional and couldn’t help us enough
Gary, 2-night trip

Overall a good stay

It was clean and in the area where we needed to be. There was parking, which is great in a city that is essentially anti car. The room was ok, although a little small. It was quiet enough and comfortable enough; but was a little too bright at night. Namely the emergency light indicator, curtains were good. Finally it was a tad expensive imo.
Patrick, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great staff!

I've not stayed here before and was satisfied overall. It is a pub so a little noisy when in the hotel room as it stays open until 12. However, given it is a pub this is to be expected and not really a criticism. (I booked it knowing it was a pub so my own fault!) Facilities in the room were good - excellent shower and bathroom; tea and coffee-making equipment. Breakfast was good, pricing seems similar to other hotels in the city. There was some dust on surfaces in the room. What really stands out here is the staff who were all very friendly and efficient. I can't imagine you get a personal tour of the room in a chain hotel!!

6/10 Good

Great check in, disappointing breakfast/ checkout

Check in was brilliant, very attentive and full of advice about local area. Breakfast was disappointing. Toaster wasn’t plugged in so I had to go find someone to crawl under the table (that was a task in itself) and I was only offered one cup of coffee! The worst was that they only had full fat or oat milk for my cereal, when I asked for skimmed or semi-skimmed they said ‘It’s company policy to only serve full fat’……what?!?!?! On check out I wasn’t asked how my stay had been, I mentioned again about breakfast and also that there were no muffins or pastries, they said I came down to early!!! I was there at my allotted time of 7 o’clock!
