We had a great time staying at Palapa House. Everything you need is within walking distance . So many restaurants with great food and drinks. You can't go.wrong at any one. . The rooms are very quaint and clean. Just the basics but that's fine because you shouldn't be spending time in your room on your vacation. Highly recommended and trying to plan our next trip this year . Clara and Orlando are the best on the property and will take care of all your needs. distance.

the property was clean, the bathrooms functioning and the sheets clean. The kitchen was clean but did not have a stove, there was a microwave and a coffee machine. I had to buy my coffee, sugar etc. The beach area needed a little attention, but not usable. We had to go to the Palapa bar and grill for a swim, drinks and food. Eating out gets very expensive, my advise is to go nearby on the street and find a good local hole in the wall and eat very good cooked meals cheaply. We ate regularly at Yoli's Deli, I highly recommend it.

If you’re here to hit up water excursions, scuba/snorkel, check out the best of San Pedro and do some island hopping then this is the place for you. Location arguably can’t be beat as it’s just outside of the downtown and tucked right onto the beach which is quiet and has beautiful views and strolls in the sand. There are tons of convenient dining options and shopping to get anything you’d want, the best restos in San Pedro are max 10 min walk away. You can park your golf cart right out front. The place itself it’s fine and dandy, clean, with everything you should need. The operators are super responsive and staff are always around taking care of the place. The pool seems like a 1 but I didn’t see anyone in it in a Week because there is just so much time in water on Ambergris. 1 for Chuck and Robbie’s dive shop across the street. Pro Tip: walk up and down the beach as your fast route in and out of San Pedro to avoid the Main Street w golf carts flying up and down. Faster, cleaner, more beautiful.

This was my first time in Belize and traveling solo, so I had lots of jitters about everthing. I could not have asked for a better place to stay. The home was clean, directions provided for accessing the property were easy to follow, the location in proximty to acivities on the island & local tours was great, and convenience to places to eat & shop was easy to navigate (once you got the hang of it). Orlando, was very responsive. As a suggestion for future guests - Palapa House could possibly include directions to the property as part of the instructions provided to guests (I printed my instructions knowing I would have limited data access, but I didn't think about navigation ahead of time). Once I landed I had no cell service and could only get access to WiFi if I stopped somewhere. Becuase of this, I was lost for about an hour trying to find the place. Mostly everyone I asked for help was familiar with Palapa Bar and Grill but not Palapa House - so even providing some key landmarks for point of reference would be good. Now, with that said. That does not take away from how excellent of an experience I had at Palapa House. I would recommend this property and I would gladly return with my family.

We were able to leave our baggage early which was helpful. We also received a discount for snorkeling and the small water park at the secret beach. The Belize Water Taxi dock is no longer close to this hotel, but the Caribbean Sprinter is (word is they are also relocating). Lastly the property manager helped us out with a taxi. Thank you.

The Palapa House was one of the best accommodation choices I made during my trip to Belize. This vrbo/condo style property is situated just outside the bustling main streets of San Pedro. The view from the upper balconies of the building is an astonishing uninterrupted shot of palms and ocean. The room was spotless when I arrived, with more than enough towels (including beach towels) and shower amenities to last for my trip. The water pressure was acceptable and the temperature was great. The bed was super comfortable. If I had to nitpick, I wish there was somewhere to hang wet bathing suits/clothing and this is the only place during my stay that did not provide any filtered water. You are close by to multiple grocery stores to pick up water, but a couple of bottles on the counter would have been nice to tide over until I could settle in and head to the store. The location was perfect. You are just a short walk away from all the shops and restaurants that San Pedro offers, plus there are several that are just steps out your door. I ended up eating at the Sandbar and Cool Beans more than once. Drinks at the Palapa Bar are pricy but delicious. Orlando and Karla were a regular presence on the property and were always willing to answer a question or take care of an issue. Karla was particularly clutch with multiple outstanding restaurant recommendations. I will be back to Belize at some point and the Palapa House will be at the top of the list for accommodations.
