Very beautiful and tranquil property. In the morning you wake up to the sounds of the river and birds singing. There are many opportunities to hike and visit coffee farms. Salento is a 15 minute bus ride away where you can catch buses to some of the main towns/cities. The staff are very pleasant and accommodating. A great place to relax and enjoy nature. The gardens are especially beautiful and well maintained.

I loved this ecolodge it was amazing, i stayed with my two toddlers, my mom and grandfather! The staff were amazing, the food was amazing! The other people who stayed there super sweet! There are three big beautiful dogs that protect the territory, however they are super gentle and kid friendly! The land was amazing we stayed at the Maloca by the river and we all slept like babies ! There was so much peace and quiet! Even at night! I would recommend this amazing location to anyone! Thank You for your hospitality!

Excellent hostel with beautiful surroundings! The staff is very helpful and the owner speaks English. Silent and relaxing, we slept very well here. Quality breakfast! Easy to get into town, busses leave every 15 minutes for 1000 COP. Fast wifi.

The area is beautiful but you must like dogs as there are 3 huge dogs who bark all day and night and run at you as you arrive and leave…the cleanliness is very low and we had terrible bug bites and the shower was covered in green slime

If you are in to communal travel you might like this place. The family lives there. I was not happy with the place at all they are to relaxed and do it your self attitude Small rooms, hot in the day and if you want to get breakfast good luck in sitting because all the long term guests sit on the one table and stay there for hours. They offer massage service on the profile and that’s not true. It’s really not my cup of tea at all. The little creek is to dirty to even stick your feet in. Dog are wonderful that’s about it. Not for kids or for big families or for romantic stays. I would think of this as a hostel not a hotel.

Muy amable la familia que lo administra. Estás de verdad en una finca en medio de todo verde con sonido de agua del río que pasa por la propiedad. El agua de la propiedad es de ese río y la filtran para tomar, los huevos del desayuno son de sus gallinas y tienen una salsa de ají muy buena echa con ajis de la finca. Lo único que peca este lugar es el Internet ya que es como una conexión de celular compartida con todos los huéspedes y solo sirve para enviar mensajes. Para más hay que ir a Salento. Yo tenía Claro y si llegaba bien la señal de Internet movil. Para ir a Salento tardarás como 20 minutos más el tiempo en que pasa el autobús. Es bastante fácil y el camino de la parada del autobús a la finca en su mayoría está iluminado en la noche. De regreso te vas a la terminal de autobuses de Salento y ahí lo tomas de vuelta, el último parece ser a las 9pm pero el fin de semana si se llenan por lo que hay que ir antes. Si eres de ciudad pues no vayas a la finca, si te gusta lo verde y el campo es aquí. Me organizaron transporte desde el aeropuerto.

Der Aufenthalt bei Ed war definitiv einer der Höhepunkte unserer Reise in Kolumbien. Die Lage ist fantastisch und man hat einen herrlichen Ausblick. Ed und deine Familie geben einem das Gefühl, willkommen zu sein und stehen jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Das Abendessen sowie die abendlichen Runden mit den anderen Gästen waren immer ein toller Ausklang des Tages. Ich kann den Aufenthalt jedem nur empfehlen! Wir waren vier Nächte da und hätten noch gut länger bleiben können. Ein Ausflug ins Corcora Valley und auch die Hiking Tracks zu den Kaffeefarmen bieten einen wundervollen Ausblick in einem sehr angenehmen Klima.

Beautiful lodge in Salento

Wonderful eco lodge located in a stunningly beautiful location. The grounds are lush with trees and flowers and you’ll feel like yours in paradise. The lodge is family run and very friendly. Homemade meals are available for breakfast and dinner and we enjoyed a nightly fire with the other guests. We very much enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

Refugio Puente Explanación Ecolodge

Nos comunicamos telefónicamente con el Refugio para realizar la reserva de una habitación con baño privado, nos dicen que debíamos reservar por el sitio hoteles punto com, lo hacemos sin problema y cuando llegamos al lugar nos dan una habitación con baño compartido, hacemos el reclamo y nos dicen que nuestra reserva era con baño compartido, luego de demostrar que no era así, las opciones que nos dan son, quedarnos en lo que nos tocó o ayudarnos a conseguir otro lugar. Llegamos tarde al Refugio así que no nos quedó otra alternativa que pasar la noche allí pero bastantes disconformes ya que por una habitación con baño privado nos cobraban $135000 pesos colombianos y por la habitación con baño compartido nos cobraron $120000. Cuando estábamos haciendo la reserva, las habitaciones con baño compartido costaban $90000 por lo que no nos gustó para nada lo cobrado, además de no cumplir con lo que habíamos reservado nos cobraron muy caro por algo que no lo valía, una pena por que el lugar es bonito. El Refugio Puente Explanación queda a unos 6 km del pueblo de Salento y en el pueblo están todos los lugares para comer y la mayoría del movimiento turístico, el transporte público funciona hasta las 21 hs por lo que llegar al alojamiento es un problema si no tenés auto, ya que el bus te deja en la ruta y luego toca caminar 1 km hasta el hospedaje, lo mismo para salir, pasadas las 21 hs no hay otra opción que pagar transporte privado y cuesta caro, $20000.

Cosy & calm hostel

We enjoyed our stay at Puente so much. This little piece of paradise just outside of Salento is ideal if you are the kind of traveler that enjoys peace and quietness. The reception is very hospitable and the breakfast is excellent. We highly recommend to do the coffee tour on foot, leaving from the Refugio.
